I'm already thinking ahead to buying a few of the Disney dvd/blu-ray combo packs that we don't have...like Cars, Tangled, probably more. I like to shop as early as possible to avoid the shock of everything at once. Where is a good place to start looking? Do stores tend to run sales on older Disney movies or only new ones? Any idea of a price to aim for?

I personally find my best prices at Target and walmart. You may wish to hold off on buying Cars as 9 times out of ten they run some kind of deal when New movie comes out and Cars2 is due out soon I believe.

Another time I get great deals on older movies is T day weekend sales. Sometimes Best buy has deals also. Might also want to look into Disney Movie club, I'm not saying it's cheapest but if you need a lot of titles might b worth it.

Also check Disneymovierewards.com for coupons.

Amazon.com is good too. Do a google search for coupons for the movie you want. Sometime slickdeals.net will have something. I always check every store website I can think of before buying, and order from the cheapest.

Borders is currently running a liquidation sale and all of their blue-ray dvds are 50% off. I saw Toy Story 3, Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton version), and Cars at my local store. They were about $15 each. If you have a Borders near you, it might be worth a visit.

If you hurry, you can get The Fox & The Hound (comes with F&H 2) and Mars Needs Moms on blu-ray for $16 each at Target through tomorrow.

Use these coupons, and when you buy them both together, Target gives you an instant $8 off ($4 off each).

(Reg price each is $30, on sale for $25, $20 w/ $5 off coupon, $16 with $4 off instantly)

sometimes walmart.com has specials too. I bought dd a Tinkerbell movie ( The Great Fairy Resuce" maybe) and the dvd was like $10 and it came with a tinkerbell lunch bad. It was cute too!

Join the Disney Movie Club, you get 4 for $1.99 each and get a bonus of 500 Disney Movie rewards points if you join through your Movie rewards account.

"As a Disney Movie Club member, all you need to do is buy 5 movies at regular Club prices in the next 24 months (starting at $19.95 per DVD and $29.95 per Blu-ray for a member who joins under a DVD enrollment offer or starting at $29.95 per DVD and $29.95 per Blu-ray for a member who joins under a Blu-ray enrollment offer), plus shipping and processing of $3.95 for the first title in each order, and $1.49 for each additional title in that same order. You may cancel your membership at any time after purchasing the 5 movies.

By agreeing to purchase at least 5 regular-priced movies in the next 24 months, you qualify to receive 4 Disney Movies of your choice from the list of titles currently available from the Disney Movie Club for $1.99 each. Shipping and processing is free. Please allow 2-4 weeks to receive your first shipment.

YOU MAY ALSO TAKE A 5TH MOVIE NOW AT THE SPECIAL PRICE OF JUST $14.95. PLUS YOU PAY NO ADDITIONAL SHIPPING AND PROCESSING CHARGE. This Bonus Movie will even count towards your purchase commitment, so you'll only need to purchase 4 more movies in the next 24 months instead of 5. Plus get 500 DMR points.

PLUS YOU CAN SAVE EVEN MORE by selecting a 6TH movie NOW FOR the special price of JUST $9.95 AND STILL PAY NO ADDITIONAL SHIPPING AND PROCESSING CHARGE. "

After this cost ($ 32.86) you only have to buy 3 over the next two years. So, $29.95 x'3 = $89.85 + $32.86 = $122.71 + S&H ( $ 11.85) = $134.56

Brings the price down to $14.95 for the Blu-Ray/DVD copies of the movies.

The $32.68 is buying the 5th and 6th movies now.
