Does anyone have advice on getting the best priced cruise. Is it better to book a year ahead or wait until the last minute? I live here in Florida so we don't have to worry about flights. On a tight budget and trying to find the least expensive cruise. Thanks::MinnieMo

I've heard that booking as early as possible will get you the best price, but I see lots of people booking at the last minute and do better. My mother in law just went on a 7 night cruise on a new Princess ship and they payed only $550 a person!! It was almost the same as the Grand Princess, so it was a really nice ship.

You can do even better than that on Norweign and Holland America. I have friends who have done 7 nighters for like $300 a person. THAT is cheap!

Good luck too ya!:sunny:

Right now they are offering Florida resident rates for January & February 2005 cruises. Check them out. Really good deals!

Disney does not discount to the general public close to sailing date as other cruises do...the best they do at certain times of the year is to offer Florida Resident rates a month or two before sailing.

They also offer their employees discounts a few weeks out from a particular sail date. Most DCL ships sail full this way.

I like checking out a website called www.vacationstogo.com I don't know if they are the cheapest but they show a wide range of cruise lines, dates, etc and the prices for each, might want to compare some prices there.

Also, if you saw a price that you could live with you could book it now and most lines have a decent enough cancellation policy that you could always change your mind if something better came up.

Must be nice to be so flexible!
