Also how many people in your party and what days/month you stayed there! I'm curious what the price range is with all the great deals that have been floating around! Thanks so much!

Nov 07, 3 nights at $209 a night, 2 adults, 2 kids in our party.

I wanted to add that we had a DTD view room with 1 queen bed and bunk beds.

$289 per night concierge at GC which if I remember right was September 2007. We got $221 a night standard GC last January. Next month $195 per night standard room as we registered for the homeschoolers conference which cost $20.

Feb '09, GCH concierge $189. It was a fluke, though, as we'd originally booked DLH concierge, but their lounge was going to be closed during our stay so we were put at GCH concierge instead at the same rate. Woohoo!

Other than that, $225 standard last October (which was our only other stay).

Both of the above were AP rates, btw.

June '06 got Expedia last minute rate for $169. We'll NEVER see rates like that again, I'm afraid.

AP = Annual Pass

Sometimes it's worth it for one member of your party to get an annual pass just to take advantage of the AP rates (assuming you want to stay onsite). That's why I got an ap originally! I watched this board and when people started commenting on the AP7 deals, I called and made reservations at the AP rate and had them add an ap to my reservation . An AP was only slightly more than what my 5-day hopper would have cost so it actually saved us quite a bit of money, since the AP rate was much better than I could get without it. Then I found out about the Costco AP deal and bought one that way instead by having a friend in SoCal get it for me (since it was only sold in SoCal Costcos). Same price, but it came with a $50 gift card.

It quickly ballooned into all of us getting APs and my annual trip became six

I see....very good to know! My cousin just moved to Cali...how would she buy an AP Pass from Costco for me? Does my name have to be on it? I'm not sure if it would save us that much or not. We're only staying 2-3 nights for our anniversary in Feb...but we ARE going w/ all the kids later in '10, in Oct. So maybe???!!! I'll check into it!!!

We paid just over $200 a night with the senior discount last October. That was the lowest we'd paid to date. Hoping to beat that price in February if we don't stay concierge at the DLH. Right now it's a toss up...

Anyone can buy a voucher at Costco, you just need to be the one to visit the ticket booth (or guest services), then the bank on main street and activate the pass. That is where your name will be put on it and your picture will be taken. The passes don't go into effect until they are activated at the parks.

We got $219 for two nights last week of September this year, standard room, two adults. Also an AP rate. With taxes and such though, it comes to about $240+ $13/day resort fee = over $250 still. But we love it too much to stay away, so we'll book a night or two there and then the rest of our stay somewhere else to offset the cost.

$279/night for Concierge room w/AP rate. This was midweek, in October 2007.

We are going to do Concierge again, the end of Aug. THIS year, into the first few days of September, at $369/nt. Not quite the same, but still a good deal compared to the rack rate and AP discount rate for other times of year! We are hooked on GCH Concierge...and this is the lowest rate there has been ALL this year so far!

If you're going on 2 trips within the same year you should definitely look into getting APs, at least for you and your DH since it might be cheaper to do that than to buy park hoppers for your 2 trips. And like PP said it might be worth it if you really want to stay onsite anyway. You also get a discount (10%) at most restaurants with the APs so you can factor that into your math if you try to figure out if an AP is worth it for you.

Unfortunately I can't answer your original question because I'm too cheap to stay at the GCH but I would love to try it someday.
