Best position for parade???

Hi all

Still thinking postive about our trip in 12 sleeps (refusing to even consider that damn volcano!!!!!!).... final planning stages now

Where should we stand for the parade???

This all comes down to personal preference... I really like to stand in front of the bandstand in Main Street U.S.A so that I can watch the floats come down towards me with the Castle illuminating the background. It just feels so magical

Does anyone know what route the parade is doing now? We usually watch opposite Bella Notte but I remember reading that the route had changed because of all the paving refurbs. Bandstand area sounds great though!!

I too need to have a spot picked out in advance!!! (13 sleeps for us!)

Standing in front of the bandstand looking up Main St is a great location, but you need to stake out your place very early, which we weren't prepared to do.

We tended to stand on the kerbside near the bandstand area, as we got some great photos as the floats turn around the corner around the bandstand - you can get good photos head-on at a slight angle : see the photo below for what I mean (it is looking towards City Hall).

This is exactly where we plonk ourselves.....a wonderful view

We'd always stood outside the Deli but ooooh I think the bandstand is going to be our new spot, thanks guys and apologies if we get your spot
