Best Port for Dogsled Chance

I'm cruising Alaska late July with my family and we desperately want to go dog sledding. I know that excursion is cancelled frequently. Does anyone know which port has the best choice to lower my odds of cancellation? Thanks so much!

We booked for Skagway in late August 2015. Weather was too warm and it got cancelled. We then booked it for Juneau and it went well. We loved it! I believe I read that it got cancelled regularly so I booked the Skagway one just in case if it got cancelled, I could still try with Juneau. The plan went well. We also booked with DCL. If anything happened and we got stranded, DCL would still wait for us.

Good to know. My DCL Alaska Cruise is in September, and a dogsled port adventure is my highest priority!
