 If we're discussing bars, you can't even compare Leaping Horses with Hurricane Hanas.

Leaping Libations is a true bar, with a nice big counter and stools, where the focus is almost completely on drinks, the only food available are cold sandwiches and frozen ice cream novelties.

Hurricane Hanna's Grill (not bar, Grill) is a snack bar operation that happens to also serve drinks. There's no bar counter or stools.

The Volcano pool bar at the Poly (which again isn't really in the competition here) is a smaller version of Leaping Libations, with tables off the side. It's more intimate, which will "float the boat" of people looking for that. If you want to be enjoying your drink in the middle of the action, Leaping Libations is a better bet.

As for the Cove Pool Bar, I haven't been to it yet, but from the picture below, I can already say the setting looks less attractive than other spots discussed above. I.e. it's too enclosed/set back from the pool.

Maji has a full bar, plus a food menu.

I have heard it's possible to order food from Sanaa to be served poolside as well but have never tried it or heard of anybody trying it there.

Thanks Jason
Great phots.
I guess i meant to ask best pool bar that DVCr s can go to.
That was what I was looking for.
I agree Leaping Libations is good.you can sit there and relax for a few.
I am not looking for a spring break jello shot place just a nice refreshing spot to have a cold drink and( hopefully )get out of the sun.

if you ask me Hanas is basicly an overpriced hot dog stand that also sells drinks. Not a bar.

I also like the pool bar at VWL .

I agree...Hurricane Hannas doesn't resemble a 'pool bar' to me.

I would have to agree...hands-down, to Maji AKV Jambo Pool Bar. :goodvibes Alot of stools, shade and you can buy a bite to grab from. Don't rememeber what the Kidani Pool Bar looks like.

Which is the best Pool Bar?
I'd say Leaping Libations as well but would suggest that as good pool bars go, none at Disney are really that good. I'd put in a vote for the Uzima Springs Pool Bar as well.

Wow - we are going to be at WDW over Memorial Day weekend and have a whole day planned at AK. Instead of lunch in the park, I wonder if I we could wander over to Kidani Village, get over to that bar and order some poolside dining of tandoori chicken and batsami rice!!

So many bars to choose from . . . .

We have found that any bar we happen to be in is the best (for sure half way thru the second drink), but the most private and relaxing is the one located on the counter in our villa kitchen . . . oh the views from the balcony! ;)

The Cove Pool Bar at Bay Lake Tower!

: . . . .

Here's a closer view of Cove Bar. In the photo posted by CandyMandy you can see the cabana, it usually has tables and chairs. The CM's were real friendly but we didn't sit and drink. It's was a bit cold when we were there in early March. Also there are usually lots of lounge chairs out around the pool including the area near the cabana.
