what Disney World resort has the best pool for boys 10-12 yrs old? slides? waterfall?

POFQ has a cool pool. The slide is the tongue of a dragon. I liked that pool the best. I have never been to CSR but that pool looks great. I read somewhere that it is the biggest of the resort pools.

The slide there looks like a lot of fun.

POFQ for younger kids (and big kids I guess). Beach Club/Yacht Club for older kids.

I just switched our VWL to BCV for August
Its summer! we'll want pools so Stormalong Bay it is
we can poolhop everywhere else

From what I have read, Beach/Yacht Club pool is always first.
Boardwalk is usually ranked second. For kids your sons' ages, the French Quarter pool might seem too baby-ish. AKL has a nice water slide and zero-entry pool. Poly is supposed to have a great volcano pool.

If that is the deciding factor, I would go on the Disney website and see if you can find pictures of the pools. Don't forget to check out the Swan/Dolphin Grotto pool, it's supposed to be nice, too.

When I showed my 7 year old photo's of some different pools he liked the POFQ pool. They all look great so I am sure no matter where you stay they will love the pools.

I think it all depends on when you're going. If you're going before the end of February, SAB might still be in the rehab mode with portions of the pool shut down, and the water slide closed.

In this case I'd suggest BWV. Their slide is pretty neat, kinda like your going down a coaster.

If you're going after February, then definitely SAB. It's the best pool on property.

The YC/BC, the Polynesian, the BW, and the WL probably in that order.

POFQ has an OK pool, and the pool area at CSR is quite large.

DD really loved the Serpent Slide pool at PO-FQ.... I think that it was probably her favorite. She also like the idea that we could o over to PO-R and swim in that pool as well. 2 themed pools for the price of one!

Another pool she liked was the Guitar shaped pool at AS-Mu. The thought that the 3 Cabareros shooting water was just great! No slide there, though!

MY DD 11 preferred the POR over PO-FQ, she thought the latter was more of a baby pool with a small slide. POR has a much longer slide. She loves best BW with the 200 ft. slide, then SAB.

CSR has 160ft. slide with the leopard shoorting water but she didn't like that one...Different people, differente tastes.

Enjoy!

How old are the kids? Maybe I should have asked that 1st!

Anyway for younger kids, definitely PO-FQ or AS-M

For older kids, definitely SAB!!!

when you say its best for older kids, what age are you referring to?
over 10 group?

Definitely the over 10 group.

DD is 8 and did not care for SAB. She ended up spending most of her time at the villa pool when we stayed at BCV last October.

She did, however, love the pool at POFQ.

Stormalong Bay - can't beat it.
I'd put the Grotto at Swan/Dolphin in second.
CSR third..... It's HUGE!
I do love the Volcano pool at the Poly, but hesitate to list it in the top three because it is too small for the resort size & often too packed for my tastes. But, it is pretty Magical to watch the Fireworks over Cindy's at night while soaking in the Poly pool!
