Best pool at value?

My brother and his family have decided to join us for our trip to WDW and they are huge "swimming" fans. Is there a difference in the pools at the value resorts, if so which has the better pools? His boys are 3 and 5.

There's one that (i'm pretty sure) is at All Star Sports that has a cannon that shoots out squirts of water. I remember having a good time there a couple of years ago.

Not sure this will help, but the Hippy Dippy pool at Pop seemed to get deeper sooner than the bowling pin pool did. My then 3-yo (just shy of 4) couldn't go very far off the steps before it got too deep for him. Just FYI!

I myself am a fan of the Fantasia pool at Movies. However, one thing to keep in mind is that the All-Stars are sister resorts, and if you are staying at one of them you can swim at any of the 6 pools at the 3 resorts.

How far apart are the resorts in terms of using the other pools? Walking distance I presume? This might just be the way to go.

Did I read somewhere that Pop has a water play area also?

To walk to the resort next to you is not very far, but to go two down would be longer than I'd care to walk for a slightly different pool. Each of the All-Stars has some sort of fountain in the middle of the main pool. POP is not near the all-stars and I do not think that they can pool hop to the all-stars.

We had a great time at the all-star music. There was a three cabrilos(sp?) in the middle that squirted water out into the pool. My kids especially like all the pool side entertainment which was from 2pm to 8pm, then at 8pm they put up an inflatable movie screen and showed a movie.
