I'm sure this has been asked before, but what's best poncho for WDW? I don't want disposable because we will also wear them hiking, etc. We are going in August though, so they must be lightweight. Thanks

Hi!:yay:
We are headed to WDW in August too! I really like the Coleman ponchos you can purchase at Walmart, KMart, Target, etc...
They are compact and they hold up well too.:thumbsup2
Hope this helps!:wizard:

Watching for this answer as well. Although we do like the Disney poncho's I would love to get poncho''s that are longer length. In the past we have only gotten caught in drenched rains at least 1 day of our week stay but the short disposable from the dollar tree doesn't do the job. If it was light sprinkles they are ok but a drenching day no.

We also have the Coleman ponchos and love them. They are heavier than the disposable ones and have held up very well over multiple uses.

Swiss gear ponchos are sold at target and come in adult & kid sizes & worked well on our trip.

If it is indeed something you're hoping to utilize multiple times (WDW, camping, hiking, etc.), take the time to research and find something that "breathes." Nothing more miserable than putting on a raincoat/poncho in the August Florida heat and sweating underneath it more than you were already sweating without it! I have almost reached the point that it's just easier to carry an extra shirt to change into in case my first one doesn't dry out fairly quickly. Our kids are also getting old enough that if they are begging to get soaked on a ride that isn't floating my boat (see what I did there?), we can just send them on the ride without us...but admittedly, there are few rides that I'm not going to want to ride myself, and they know it!

I bought a Frogg Toggs brand at Walmart for my trip in February, and really liked it. The material it's made from is lightweight but very durable, and fairly breathable. It also comes with a "case" that you can fold it into.

I definitely preferred it over the "disposable" kind, and even the WDW ponchos. The Frogg Toggs poncho didn't stick to my legs like the flimsy ones when wet, and it was ling enough (some of the cheap ponchos are very short).
