Best plan for summer trip budget

I am so thankful that due to my husbands job will we be in Orlando this summer for 8 days. We have a vacation booked for feb 2013 for 6 days at the parks. I have been looking at numbers and trying to decide.. If we buy 3 days tickets it will cost around 1100. We could upgrade to annual passes but thae price will still be over budget. I thought maybe we should cut down to 2 days and try universal for the first time. Our lodging is paid for and we are driving. Any thoughts ? My boys are 15 and 11, and our oldest has special needs and loves many things that a younger child would.

Have you looked at the 10 day no expiration tickets. It's cheaper than an AP and then you could go 4 days in the summer and carry the other 6 days over for your trip in 2013.

I will, thanks! I am surprised that I have 1250.00 for various park tickets but it adds up quick!
