Best plan for Osborne Lights?

Looks like will be there the week it opens. We have our HS day planned with ADR's and FP's for 11/5 but looks like the lights don't start until 11/6. Sigh. We had planned to see Illuminations our last night, Sunday 11/8, but now we are re-thinking it as it's the last year for OL.

Do you think it's possible to have dinner at Shula's at 5, see OL at 7ish and be back at Epcot for Illuminations by 9? We have never seen the OL so we don't know what time it starts (assuming when it gets dark) or how long it takes to shuffle through with the crowds? Would appreciate any advice from those who have seen it before. Thanks so much!!

The lights come on around sunset, usually right around 6:00 or just after. It's entirely up to you how long you want to stay, essentially there's every I believe 10 minutes they'll dance to some music and be snow. Given the crowds it may be hard to just get in and out in a few minutes, but you could definitely see it, enjoy it for an hour or so then trek to Illuminations.

Thank you both!
yea, I think that's doable. you can go see OL around 6ish and have time for illuminations. we usually stay @ OL for 45 mins, but we always go back again our trip for one more experience. it's a fav!

We stayed in the lights for about an hour last year. It was our first time seeing them, so we were just overwhelmed by how much and how fantastic it all was.

We usually just look for the cat and leave. By the time we find him we have seen everything and are ready to go. We will miss the lights though. Looking forward to seeing what Disney does to replace them.

They're tearing down the Streets of America for Star Wars Land, so it's not like they're replacing them with something else for Christmas.

Double check the schedule for Illuminations because I know, at least in December it runs at 9:30pm instead of 9pm, so you might have a half hour extra to get yourself over to EP.

The 9:30 start in December is to accommodate the last showing of the Candlelight Processional, which doesn't start running until the day after Thanksgiving, so it wouldn't be an issue on 11/8.

I can't imagine The Candlelight Processional will be the only draw Disney World will have for Christmas. The castle lighting is nice but not something that will draw your attention for more than a few minutes and with DAK closing so early and the animals I don't think you will see anything there. So I would think Disney has something Christmas related to replace DHS when all is said and done. Just my thought, but we will see.

You can easily see Osborne lights and be back at Epcot for illuminations. If you leave DHS by 8, you will have plenty of time for a comfortable walk back to the WS. I have done this multiple times, but I'm there usually over Christmas, so illuminations is at 9:30
