1)Illuminations. May I please have suggestions.

2)I have also head that there is no such thing as a "bad seat" to view
Fantasmic b/c of the arena seating, but can I also get suggestions on favorite spots of the area to view the show from.

Thanks in advance!

For Illuminations, we likie Mexico, at the Cantina on the water

For Fantasmic, we like the middle ofthe stadium, towards the top

The bridge between France and UK is where we watched Illuminations from. We were able to get seats down in the sitting area. Those were awesome seats! We tried watching it from Mexico one night and couldn't even see most of it. There were so many people.

For Illuminations, we lucked into the Rose & Crown patio once and that was cool. Otherwise, go to the front of World Showcase between the 2 big gift shops (between Mexico and Canada). They will have the area next to the water roped off until about 15 min prior to the show. When the rope drops, head to the fence at the waters edge and feel the heat.

Fantasmic, anywhere in the center is good. The SRO sections is not fun.

Where is the SRO section located at?

Thank you for all of your suggestions.

What does "....and feel the heat" mean? I'm not so good in English.. I'm sorry...

Is it possible to be about 20 min. before the show between the 2 gift shops and then when the rope drops to be in the first row...??? (I know we have to be quick) :flower:

"feel the heat" there are some fireworks in the show and you can actually feel the heat coming off of it.

Ahhh ok, thanks "Donnask8pro"...

Does the ropes always drop down 15 minutes before the show starts?

It depends on how windy it is. They have someone there who monitors conditions, but they don't make a decision until 15 minutes before the show. We've been in that place twice and the first time they dropped the rope, but the second time they didn't. (It's still a good view, even if they don't). I don't think you could get there 20 minutes before and get a front row seat, unless it was a really slow time of year. There were people there about 45 minutes beforehand staking out the front row.

I believe SRO means Standing Room Only. It is a section behind all of the seats - and you do have to stand throughout the show. I only know this because we sat in the last row in December 2000, and there were all of these people standing behind us - (back behind the walkway, so they weren't breathing down our necks). Hope this helps.

I've viewed Illuminations from several spots so I'll list them in the order I like best:

1. China - we get some food and grab a bench about 45 minutes before the show. Fantastic!!!!

2. Germany - same as China, just no benches, we sat on the ground. Still great!!!

3. Between Canada and Mexico - great view but seems like the wind was often blowing this direction and the smoke was sometimes in the way. Still very good!

4. Patio at Rose & Crown - thought this was a fantastic view until we saw it from China and Germany and then realized that we really could only see the fire stuff, no water. And, way to hard to actually get good seats.

5. Moroccan boat landing - came with the Silver Package and was a total waste. Wouldn't use this preferred area if they paid me. The view is just blah. You can't see a lot of the water elements and the fire is too bright since you're out on the water.
