My BFF just found she has to work all day Fri of our weekend trip next month. (Thankfully, she works remotely and can do everything she needs to do on her laptop and still hit up MHP that night.) But- where? I think she'll go stir crazy stuck in our DLH hotel room all day, and I know hotel wi-fi can be iffy in the rooms, anybody know any good common area type spaces to work at DLH, GCH or DtD?

There's a Starbucks on Harbor and Ball that has better WiFi than you'll find in the more immediate DLR area.

I have found WiFi at GCH to be generally good. The lobby seems less crowded, since security changes limited access through the front entrance. There are also chairs in hallways that overlook the lobby, large landing on 3rd floor.

I forgot about those chairs! Thanks!!

Good to know. I was just thinking about a back-up wi-fi option for her if she has connection issues onsite, and she'll have a car so that should work nicely if she needs better internet.

We ended up moving hotels due to poor internet connection at DLH.
Hubby had to do work and we tried everything and staff basically said we know it's bad but that's the way it is. We moved to Homewood suites convention centre. It ended up being a great choice with internet that he could actually use for work.
I know that it wasn't a Disney hotel but when you need to have good wifi for your work you need to make the change.
The hotel was so much better for our family that we now always stay there when we come to Disneyland.

GCH Wifi has improved considerably over the past few years...as long as you are not doing massive downloads or streaming I have not recently had any issues.

My husband worked for about 3 hours our first day in the GCH lobby. He said the wifi was great and chairs very comfortable. We were at the pool and the wifi was spotty at best out there, hence his time in the lobby. A CM stopped by and asked him if she could bring him anything to make his "work" more enjoyable!
