In light of the post on best place to watch Wishes, I was just wondering where the best place to see the SpectroMagic parade might be?? Also we are going to MVMCP. Any special suggestions for watching the parades and fireworks?

Thanks!

I like viewing Spectro & Wishes from the 2nd floor of the Main Street Train Station. To get a good spot next to the railing (in the center so that Main Street is a straight shot view of the castle), you need to get there pretty early.

Yes, the Train Station is a GREAT place to see Spectro.

But it can fill up very early.

OTOH, the Train Station is a very poor spot to try to see Wishes, so if you want to see both, be prepared to move after the parade (if its still running, we like to ride the train over to Frontierland after Spectro is over up front).

There is no other "best" place, really, as anywhere along the route is about the same view.

We like in front of Hall of Presidents or down near the "Turkey Leg Stand" in Frontierland.

We also like in front of Hall of Presidents. We have watched many parades from this location.

We watch right in front of the Trading post candy store near Pecos Bills. Go early, grab a bench and when the parade starts, stand on the bench-perfect view of either of the 2 parades.

I like watching the parade right where they come out of the gate. It's near the front of the park, just outside one of the shops...I've forgotten exactly where it was...but they were just starting the second parade of the evening...the one they do just after most of the people in the park have already left. I think it's interesting watching the people direct the the floats, and seeing the characters, and dancers already doing their act even before they leave the gate. Who's Mickey waving to when he hasn't even left the front gate yet?

We had a wonderful view from the outdoor eating area of Pecos Bill's. We pulled our seats up to the fence and stood on them for front row viewing. Others did this too and no one told us not to, so I assume they are used to it.

I will say that we did have a hard time getting a good view of Wishes afterwards. We were stuck on the Liberty Square side, so we weren't able to see the fireworks centered above the castle very well.

Outside the Christmas Shoppe. We watched across the street on the same side as the Hall of President and although good, the parade came around the cornet and it was difficult to see sometimes. The MNSSHP comes from Frontier land and the best place for parades coming from Frontier land is across the street from the Christmas shop.

Previously, we have always grabbed some sidewalk right at the exit area on Main Street, but that was mostly b/c we were off property and had to make a &*$@#$#% shuttle bus. We did like the location anyway, b/c we were near bathrooms, snack areas & (don't flame me) a smoking area.

This next trip we are at All Star Music so we may grab seating somewhere else especially if its a EMH night!! Whhoo-hooo. Will still look to find area that has above mentioned convieninces tho.

Last time I saw both SpectroMagic, we grabbed some curb space on Main Street (there were four of us) and sat our butts down. Towards the front of the park, near the Emporium.

SpectroMagic passed right in front of us. After the parade had passed, CMs allowed us into the street where we had a great view of Wishes. It was pretty packed trying to leave, but being near the front of the park helped.

We sat on the curb in front of Expo Hall one night, it was neat to watch everything come around the circle. Also its close to a smoking area which keeps my DH occupied.

Any curb side spot is great for Spectromagic. It is my DH and my favorite parade and one time we sat in hte two rocking chairs on a small porch in Liberty Square next to the Hall of Presidents. It was just the two of us and it was magical!

Yes! That's the store.... This is where we sat too! Except we were here after all the crowds have left, and they put on the second showing of the parade. I think it's cool that they do the parade again so that all of us stragglers who are still in the park can enjoy the parade without fighting with the crowds. :) It's a nice way to leave the park.

Which direction does spectromagic travel? Does it start at Main St.?

At MK, the "3:00pm Parade" starts at the far end of Frontierland, heads up that street, winds over thru Liberty Square (in front of the Hall of Presidents), around the Hub (in front of the castle), up Main Street, around the Flagpole green and exits the park between the Fire Station and Barbershop.

Spectromagic ("lighted" parade) has the same route, except it goes in the OPPOSITE direction even if there are two performances in the same evening.

Thanks for all your responses! So if I am reading this right, Spectro starts at the ENTRANCE to MK? and then goes back to Frontierland. Is that right. We have dinner reservations at Crystal Palace at 4:30 and Spectro is at 7pm that day. Should we grab a spot on Main Steet after dinner or should we head down to Liberty Square area? What do you think? Wishes is at 8pm. SO I am thinking we should just stay on Main Street or at the HUB.

Liberty Square is just a couple of minutes walk from Crystal Palace and from the Hub, so you can do whichever you like and could decide to change positions after the parade if you choose.
