We booked a trip for 11/15-11/22 staying at Saratoga Springs. The Steelers play Thursday night at 8:15. Can someone suggest someplace to have dinner and watch the game. I wasn't sure if Big River Grill and Brew Works had the games or maybe the Turf Club. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :happytv:

ESPN Club would be the best place, but make sure you get there early, say 1/2 hr, 45 mins early for a Thurs night game to make sure you get a table. The food isn't bad, it's just bar food.

Turf Club- eh. The 'bar' is really just like a few tables, club chairs and a pool table in a more or less thoroughfare from the lobby to the restaurant. There isn't a bar, it's a window that you can order drinks at.

They would probably have it on at a couple of different DTD restaurants; I've seen football at HoB and Fulton's.

A couple other lounges at resort hotels, Crew's Cup Lounge @ the YC, Tambu Lounge at the Poly, (maybe) the Wave at the Contemporary, River Roost at POR.

Hope this helps!

We like the ESPN Club. It's regular bar/chain food. I would say the food is good...certainly not bad. It will be crowded though.

Another vote for ESPN but I'm sure it will be crowded. I was going to suggest Victoria Falls Lounge at Animal Kingdom Lodge but since you want food that wouldn't be a good option, unless you go eat and than afterwards hit the lounge.

I'd just do ESPN, in spite of the mediocre food. There is no better place to watch a game on property. But follow the above advice and get there early if you want a table...although on a Thursday night you have a much better chance than on a Sunday afternoon!

If you have a car, I also suggest Front Row up on I-Drive. Another great place to watch a game.

If you're already in town for a bit you can feel out the Turf Club for yourself as to whether or not it would be a good place for the evening. If the Turf Club works I hear the food there is pretty good so it should meet your GF's criteria. ESPN Club doesn't take ADRs, so you'd just have to plan to arrive early enough to be seated and served to enjoy the meal and the game.

I'd choose an earlier dinner, then head back to the room to watch the game, but I'm kind of boring like that. I prefer to yell at the TV in private or in selected company.

The ESPN club is the best place to watch a Steeler game.

We have watched many Steeler games at the ESPN club. We have never been there on a Thursday night but Sunday afternoons and Monday nights are pretty lively and fun.

The food is good IMOP. We usually get some nachos, burgers and beer.

The Steelers, nachos, beer and the ESPN club in WDW, don't get no better than that.

I read several people say the food is really really bad there. For me beer and the game is enough but my GF and her best friend will be with me.

Honstly never ate there my bro & my sil go and like it there. He's a sports nut . I never heard bad about Espn until now.

Yes it does, The Giants, nachos, beer and the ESPN Club in WDW!!!! :lmao:

My DH concurs :thumbsup2 We had this same discussion last night - if we should ESPN next Sunday. We will probably give it a shot and see how crowded, long of a wait it is

Come on guys I like the Giants. I routed for you guys last Super Bowl. Don't become like the know it all, we're the best and you're not Patriots fans. ;)

NEVER NEVER NEVER!!! I'm a lifelong Giants fan, trust me, through thick and (lots of) thin! :) Nothing against the Steelers, except of course on Oct 26 when they play the Giants - which happens to be the game that I will be at the ESPN Club to watch this year!

Thanks for info on ESPN. We will be there for the Steelers game on Nov. 30. Sounds like a fun place to watch the game.

The food at ESPN is decent - the beer selection is absolutely brutal if that is a consideration.

Also love the gold and black...do you have a car? We have gone to the restaurant at the Disney Wide World of Sports...we went there because the ESPN club seemed to be too crowded. We enjoyed it there. Food was fine...just a thought.

this closed down a year or so ago.
If you do have a car you could also check out the Orlando Ale House, I have heard really good things about that.

I would just move to New England and experience all the champions!!!

I haven't been but the ESPN Club has been Highly Recommended for Football games!
