I'm trying to plan a vacation to WDW for my family for next spring. We will be either 5 or 6. Where is the best place to stay (money-wise)? Is it better to get two rooms at one of the economy places one one room at a more expensive place? Should I book my whole vacation through one of the packages? I'm doing my homework right now but I may go through a travel agent when I'm ready to book. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

hi - it would depend on what everyone in the group wants to get out of the trip - do you all get up at the same time - are there some who want to sleep late - if someone wants to sleep late - can the others in the room survive by leaving the room or not turning on the tv - can you all share a full sized bed - or do you want a queen sized bed (remember if you have a kid w/you do they turn side ways during the night) -

i've gone w/differnt family members & friends - and sometimes my sister wanted to sleep late - which was okay by me but my kids wanted to watch tv & they couldn't - so now we get two cheap rooms - but with my mother - she liked to get up early - so we got the 5 person dixie landings (po - riverside) and it was no problem -

so check out what everyone is expecting of the room and then you can decide

Well, It will be my huband and I and our kids ages 5, 10, 15 and maybe a 17 year old. If we do this they will not be picky about anything. They won't mind getting up early since we'll be on vacation, they won't want to miss anything.

We don't care sharing beds either. Its just that most of the places only sleep 4 people. I know the Orleans Riverside sleeps 5 and thats moderately priced. I just wonder if its worth it to just buy one of those packages and have everything taken care of or try to gets deals on things seperately.

If I go through a travel agent will she get me a better deal than buying straight through Disney?

Sorry for all teh questions, this is new territory for me. Thanks! Shannon

We just stayed at the Dolphin. They have some special rates. You can go through Dreams Unlimited if you want a travel agency. The Dolphin will sleep 5 with a roll away. I also know that they have a Junior Suite with a seperate bedroom that sleeps 6.

The great thing about the Dolphin is it is considered a Deluxe hotel, and the location can't be beat. It is right next to the Boardwalk, within walking distance to Epcot and a short boat ride to MGM.
