For dreams? I'm considering taking my DSLR and tripod to photograph dreams. Is the anywhere suitable to set up? It's only an idea right now, as we are flying and my tripod is heavy!
I have one of those light weight Gorilla tripods which work well for when I need it rather than carting a heavy one around with me - Never tried for Dreams though as too many people for me to get a really good spot.
if you stake out your spot, against the railings of a flowerbed on the plaza, in front of the castle would work, as your camera angle would be above the heads of the people in front of you.
That sounded like I knew what I was talking about there, right? We stood next to a guy last month who had done this - our eyeline was lower than his camera line on the tripod, and we had a great view of Dreams from that position.
Might be worth considering buying a lightweight traveling tripod. There are some very cheap ones available on Ebay which are very light and fold up quite small. Ideal for carrying around the park with you.
I tend to scout around without all my gear for good locations the day beforehand then go in equipped the next day.
Thanks. Good idea about the travel tripod, I'll look into that. Wouldn't fancy carrying my current one with me really. I only want my tripod so I can do long exposures or the photos will look naff. I'm sure my friend won't get too annoyed with me... She's used to me faffing about with my camera
