I know it has been asked before but where do you sell your old video games? Also, how about old DVDs. We have way too many and no place to store them anymore. All of your answers are appreciated.

I either sell them myself on EBay or trade them into Amazon or Best Buy. I usually trade DVD's into Amazon.

Best Buy started to get into the used game business and they have some very nice weekly offers.

This week if you trade in 4 games with a trade in value of $5 or more, you get an additional $20 in trade in credit (all trades ins credits are put on a Best Buy gift card). You can look up the trade in values on BestBuyTradeIn.com to see if the trade in value is worth trading in the game or not since some older games have too low of a value to be worth it. It's also nice that you then aren't forced to buy games with your credit.

I would avoid Gamestop, they give horrible trade in values. They pay as little as $0.25 for a game they will sell for $4.99, or $1 for a game they will sell for $9.99. In addition, their prices on used and new games are usually very overpriced.

Check out secondspin.com. They buy and sell CDs, DVDs and games. We've sold a couple hundred CDs through them (they buy them all as a group, you enter the UPC codes and they tell you how much they pay -- you're not selling individually) and made several hundred dollars. It's pretty easy and a great way to get rid of unwanted items.
