Best place to purchase Smartmedia?

I'm trying to learn to use my digital camera in preperation for our Disney cruise. I've since learned that I will need more memory cards. My camera takes Smartmedia. I think the biggest it comes is 126mb. Anyone know how many pictures this is? I know it depends on the picture size...but I just need a decent picture. Can anyone tell me the best place to purchase these cards also. I checked our Costco and they don't carry them. I'm thinking of someplace online since I'm in Hawaii and don't have many of the lovely stores you have on the mainland. Thanks.

My camera uses XD so I can't answer your question. But if you go to BestBuy.com and go to the Digital Camera section, you can enter your camera make and model and it will give you guidelines on storage. My 128M card can hold about 200 pictures at a mid level setting. And I got the best deal by purchasing on ebay.

Thanks sooo much!!!! I learned a lot about digital cameras. The biggest frustration I was having was learning about the camera. There seemed nowhere to turn. I think I've learned enough here to be on my way. I knew someone on the DIS boards would be able to help me.

Two of my cameras take SD cards and the other which is a little older takes a compact flash. I just purchased a Lexar 512 MB off of e-bay for 43.00 with s/h. I have purchased a few this way and found them to be the best deal I could find. I'm currently in the market watching a few Kodak's and Lexar's for a 1 GB. Never had a problem with any of those purchases.

I use a smart media card- 128 mgs. it takes over 400 pictures when using the medium settings. We also carry along a 64 mg just in case. I get my cards off ebay.

I just purchased 5 64MB Smart Media cards for $65.95. That includes shipping. They also had 128MB 5 cards for $114. The website was expansys.com

I've purchased my SD cards from Buy.com. They have great prices and the shipping was quick. (3-5 days) Lots of rebate offers too. They have 128mb SD cards as low as $10 AR.

My camera uses XD cards as well as the earlier poster and I also purshase most of mine from e-bay. If your patient and pay close attention to the auctions you can get really great deals.

Step Mom - did you order cards from the USA website of Expansys or the UK site. The 128 SM cards on the USA website are $31.95, but they are much cheaper on the UK site?

Dagny- I ordered from the US website. The UK website has a different currency. But the more cards you order, the cheaper they are. For 10 128mb cards its a little over $20 a card. And these are very hard to find since they have been discontinued.

I have three differnt brands of SD cards and find them equally good. Kodak, Lexar and Fuji. I understand that Kingston is Kodak. Still looking for a good price on a 1 GB myself.

Pigsty333 thanks for this webside. WWW.dealnes.com has a deal for one smart media for a little over $20 no shipping. I bought one from E bay. I'll just wait until it comes in to make sure I'm buying the right thing. Although I'm pretty sure I am. Then if that deal is still on I'm going to buy it from there.
