I have not been to WDW since they redid DS. I have reservations for Boatwright for the first night there, but was wondering if there are any other "must-do" restaurants to try there.

I think you may mean Boathouse (Boatwright's is at the Port Orleans resort). Boathouse is one of my favorites. I especially like sitting outside. I also like Wine Bar George very much. Raglan Road is fun and somewhat unique (depending on where you're from) - the live music and Irish step dancers are great evening entertainment (note they do not do the entertainment for lunch). It does get very loud though. Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar is fun - especially if you're an Indiana Jones fan. Jock's is a lounge but all other spots (including many didn't mention) have bars with walk-up/first come first serve seating. You could do a progressive dinner kind of thing and do a drink & snack in a few different places if there are several you want to try. Have fun!

I have heard that Gideons (cookies) is a must do! I have it on my list to try and get in, but apparently its so popular you have to get there, scan a barcode to get into their virtual questions, and then wait for hours until you can get in.

Must be some dang good cookies.

Homecomin’ is probably our favorite TS there, followed by QS Polite Pig and D-Luxe Burger.

I would double check where you have reservations. As others have said, Boatwright's is at Port Orleans resort, not, DS.

It's more of a quick snack, but I love getting some Poutine from that little Poutine hut place. Usually my first stop to fuel up!

Boathouse is really good. Pricey and loud/chaotic inside but good food and drinks. We also love City Works (those grilled wings are to die for and all the TVs for sports viewing plus beer flights). And we like Jock Lindsays which is a lounge but has some food too (the pretzel charcuterie is to die for). We have found Raglan Road and Homecoming to be just okay. Wine Bar George is also a lounge with some food (also a great charcuterie). AMAZING sushi and pizza at Splitsville. Paradiso and Frontera Cocina were blech. Enzo's Hideway not all that great and super duper pricey. For quick serve...I found Earl of Sandwich to be meh and D-Luxe burger as well (some great meals and some terrible meals at both). Gideon's is overrated and not worth the line and price. The food trucks are also not worth the price. The poutine stand is really good if you like poutine. T-Rex and Rainforest are good for what they are (fun for kids) but pricey for Applebees type food. House of Blues is a great walk up place. Not too expensive but also kind of Applebees like food. French patisserie is delish too. Just typing as I think of things. My DDs got bowls from the Morimoto quick serve counter and were not very wowed and they LOVE all Asian food. All just MOO!

Also some places have some happy hours. Have to look it up. I remember stopping at the outside bar at the Portebella for some happy hour drinks.

We tried Boathouse for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it!
We were outside and the amphicars or whatever they were called kept going by and were so fascinated to see them plus the food was wonderful.

Another vote for Boathouse. We also love Morimoto Asia. Or if you want quick service, D-Luxe Burger is really good.

On our October trip we ate at Jaleo for the first time and it was delicious! It’s a tapas (small plates) style restaurant, which I love because I try can many different things in one meal.

We love Boathouse and Raglan Road. We were underwhelmed by Wine Bar George and thought portions were small for the price and the food was just okay.

We did Boathouse this past October, which was our first time to DS. The atmosphere was excellent, if a bit loud, the service was excellent, and we got seated at the "boat" right in the front! The food, however, was slightly disappointing for us - maybe because the Boathouse gets so many rave reviews, so our expectations were too high.

I agree that Gideon's is overrated. The cookies are very good, and I didn't think that the price was outrageous, but I would never wait for hours for those cookies. We went on the Wednesday, and it was slow enough that they were doing a physical line instead of a virtual line,. We waited about 45 minutes in the physical line, which was okay, but if I had waited much longer than that, I would have felt that the cookies weren't worth it.

Polite Pig was excellent - good cocktails and great big, soft pretzels.

Next stop for us when we go back to DS - Raglan Road. I've heard good things and it looked super fun when I was standing in the line for Gideon's.

To be honest I don't know of a restaurant on property that I would consider a "must do" and we have tried most of them ................advise is don't get hung up too much on where you can't a reservation as in many cases you aren't missing much. With that said, in ref to your post We had lunch recently at Ragland Road and it was decent, best part was we were able to sit outside. Beers we chose were excellent. We only had a 45 minute virtual que wait at Gideons, neat place but would never do a stand in que. Poutine stand is tasty as some mentioned, much better than what you can find in Epcot Canada kiosk. Splitsville is a place we would give a try sometime, did have some drinks outside one time there but didn't try the food. I for one miss Pleasue Island, now THAT was a "must do" place, fun stuff!

Jaleo! One of the 2 best meals we had, the other being Toppolinos.
Looking forward to going back our next trip.
