I know someone probably has posted this before, but I seem to be unable to access the search function.

Sooo...where's the best place to eat anywhere on property for Thanksgiving?? My family and I usually go the first week in December to see all the Christmas stuff. but because I'm going to have a different schedule in college (exams that week), we've decided to go over Thanksgiving. What are your suggestions and why? And to clarify...for Thanksgiving we can get PS 90 days ahead? Or more?

Thanks, can't wait to see what y'all think!

First, if you are there through Thanksgiving...you won't be giving up that Disney Christmas fix. Unbelievable as it may sound...you go to bed on Thanksgiving and wake up to Christmas the next morning. It isn't as elaborate as it will be during Christmas week but pretty close. The transformation is really amazing.

I have been there twice at Thanksgiving:

The first time we ate at Liberty Tree Tavern. It was wonderful....turkey with all the trimmings PLUS characters!

Two years ago we ate at the CG. The food was great, the atmosphere, while loud due to being crowded, was festive AND we go to see the fireworks from the catwalk. They had a limited menu which included turkey and trimmings. One of the most amazing desserts I've ever had was here....pumpkin creme brulee with gingerbread....I'd go back, just for this.

Neither place was quiet or dignified but both had something special to offer. I'd do either again in a minute! Although the food at CG was much better they didn't have characters in costumes either! So many choices...so little time!

I'm so excited about the whole overnight Christmas transformation!! Unfortunately, we're staying in OKW instead of a resort w/a lobby and therefore a Christmas tree! But I'm considering staying awake really late in somewhere like WL or GF to watch them set up the tree!!

Thanks for your info Penny2.

BUMP - maybe other people can help!

We have gone to the Cape May Buffet on Thanksgiving and been very pleased. We had so many people that a large variety buffet, but of course very special was just what we needed with all those different personalities to consider and their food likes.

We've eaten at Crystal Palace twice for Thanksgiving- very good. We needed a buffet with variety since we had a large group of 11. They had the regular stuff plus turkey and dressing. It was very good and of course, the characters were great!

We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner at Narcoosee's on the GF property. We PSed for 7 p.m. and had quite a wait due to crowds but it was worth it.

Dinner was a pre-fixe price for children and adults. The choices covered all the bases from seafood to traditional turkey. Dinner included a choice of appetizer, entree and dessert. The CMs at Disney Dining had the complete menu to read to me when I asked how it would all work.

The best part of the delay in being seated was for us to enjoy our dessert as the lights dimmed, the music began and the fireworks began in MK.

It was magical.

Several years ago my family of 14 had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at OHana. Everything was served family style and as much as you wanted. After dinner we all walked out to the Poly beach and watched the water parade. It was a great event for all.

We ate Thanksgiving Dinner at Boatwrights in POR last year. It was very good! I'd do it again in a heartbeat. They had the traditional dinner or you could order something else on the menu.

We'll be at OKW this Thanksgiving too. Does anyone know if Olivia's will have a turkey dinner? My parents love this place. If not, we'll probably go to Boma because it's so yummy.
