Ok here's where we will be:

Chef Mickey's Breakfast
Concourse Steakhouse Dinner
Donald's Breakfastosaurus
Crystal Palace Lunch
Coral Reef Lunch
Biergarten Lunch
Sci Fi Dinner
50's Prime time Cafe Dinner

So where is the best place to celebrate a birthday for a 9 year old???
I was thinking Chef Mickey's but I wasn't sure. DH said we should celebrate at all of them!!

So what does everyone think????????????

From your choices, I'd probably go with Chef Mickey's.

We're having breakfast at CRT on my DD's 13th b-day.

For dinner, we're eating at the Princess Dinner in Norway & then walking over for our Illuminations Cruise that I've booked.

**Your DH has a good idea...you could celebrate at all of them!

Two years ago, we celebrated DD's birthday (turned 3 during the trip) at several of our TS meals. She felt like such a little princess. Some places do more than others. I remember that CRT had a special placemat for her that all of the characters signed and there was confetti on the table. Then they brought her a cute confetti covered cupcake after breakfast. Chef Mickey's had a placemat for her that was already signed and maybe laminated if I remember correctly. They do the birthday napkin waving celebration song, too. I can't remember if she had a cupcake there or not. At LTT, she had TONS of confetti and little swirly streamers all over the table. I think they may have put a candle in our cobbler for her there, but I can't remember for sure.

We also had a cake and balloons delivered to our room at WL while were at the park. I had made note of her b-day on our ressie and they also delivered a free balloon with an autographed card of Cinderella and Prince Charming! SO CUTE! They had asked me who her favorite character was when we checked in, but I didn't know why. She had a fantastic b-day at WDW!
I say go for celebrating at all of your TS meals! I'm sure that a 9 year old would really love and look forward to all of the attention!

Don't forget to get the free birthday button at the park you're at on his/her birthday!

It depends on what you are doing to celebrate. If you are going to order a cake, do you really want cake after breakfast? I would say Chef Mickey's but we have always celebrated it during dinner time there. My son is reading over my shoulder. He suggestes and I agree Crystal Palace with cake after lunch. He is 10 and has celebrated a few birthdays at Disney. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

I suggest that each park you go into go to guest services and get a birthday pin and have your daughter wear it throughout the day. My son always finds people wearing pins and wishes them a Happy Birthday or Congratulates them on a wedding. Once he didn't read a persons pin and just saw it and said happy birthday. It turns out their spouse wasn't next to them and they actually had a congratulations pin on. It was funny. He was quite embarrassed.

You can note on all your PS's that it is her birthday and see what happens.

My son said to tell your daughter happy birthday even though he doesn't know when it is.

We celebrated DS's 5th Birthday at Chef Mickey's for dinner, this past Nov. It was wonderful. They really made him feel special that night. I didn't do a cake, but they did bring him a cupcake & I had brought a Mickey candle that I bought at home. I think he even got a placemat to keep. They made a big deal while singing to him.
I would second the idea of getting a Birthday pin from the Town Hall in MK. Many CM's throughout the day said Happy Birthday. I even made him a special Birthday shirt, from a design that I got from a disser in the craft forum.

Like other posters, we celebrated all week. At Coral Reef call ahead through Guest Services and ask to be connected to the Coral Reef. You'll get a message to direct you to an extension. Press the one for the manager. They can arrange a customized menu with pictures of your family and arrange for a diver to bring a banner to the window with Happy Bithday to your daughter. DD5 could not believe the diver searched her out and the menus were awesome:thumbsup2

Thank you to all of you!!! You have all got me very excited about this!!! I think I'll call and have them note it on all of them... or at least most of them.

I hadn't even thought about ordering a cake...hmm I'll have to think about that. How soon does that have to be done??

Great tip about the birthday button!! I will definitely do that!

Thanks again everyone!!

We must have posted at the ssame time! Thanks for the Coral Reef Tip! How soon do I need to call???
Thanks!

I would call shortly after you make your ARD as they limit the amount of dive banners they do. I also urge you to get the button as soon as you can as CMs will wish her Happy Birthday all day long which is really fun. DD5 loved celebrating for a week! You may want to consider the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for the big day so she can be a princess all day. Even a 9 yeaar old would enjoy the hair and makeup treatment. I wouldn't do the nails as they are just press ons.

When my dd turned 13, back in Oct, while at WDW, we had a birthday breakfast at Crystal Palace, birthday lunch at the GF Cafe (with her specially ordered cake) and birthday dinner at HDDR!!! I would celebrate her birthday at each meal on her birthday!!!
