Best place to buy Hunger Games?

The ultra-violet stuff is horrible. I've had a couple of movies with it. It's web-based service where you can watch movies on demand. It's not a download like from iTunes. The service is the buggiest, crashiest, thing I've ever seen. That plus you have no control over the movie. If they pull it, you're out of luck.

I miss the days when you used to get a download code from itunes, but everything now uses the ultra violet. I would never buy a movie just for that feature because it's a disaster.

Good news for people who preordered from amazon. I just got my shipping email and it is coming via USPS not ups, so there is at least a small chance that it will be here Saturday. The expected delivery is still Monday, but I've gotten stuff early before.

Mine still says not yet shipped, but I'm pretty sure I have ordered stuff form Amazon before and it arrived via USPS.

I don't really care about the UltraViolet download, we just try to order everything on Blu-Ray now, since we have a PS3 and a Blu-Ray player on my laptop. If I can download it to my iPad, fine, if not, that's fine, too

The reason we like the BluRay/DVD combo is that we can watch the BluRay at home and the DVD in the car player. Since BluRay can play DVD, if there isn't a combo, we go with a DVD.

Kroger has it for $16.99/$19.99 Blu Ray and you a free razor, coke and Chex mix with it.

I usually go with iTunes or Amazon for my iPad. Can stream to my apple TV which makes it doubly nice!

Mine is saying it left the last big city two hours from my little town. It just says USPS which would probably make it tomorrow. It doesn't say FedEx Smartpost which most other sites tell you if that is how it is going. I'm hoping...not that it matters to much as I'm taking DW out to a movie tomorrow for our 14th anniversary

I gave up on the ultraviolet copy of whatever I got it with. Maybe the last Harry potter? I preordered from amazon in mid-July and mine still hasn't shipped, so I'm surprised others have had theirs on the way already. Amazon does typically use ups, but we actually had dhl deliver something from them this week (prime-not an outside seller to my knowledge). Guess they use the cheapest for the job?

I gave up on it too. That's why I'm buying combo packs rather than blu-rays alone, so I can convert the DVD to an iTunes compatible format. The VHS in my can bit the dust a while back so DD's iPod Touch via the onboard TV's a/v inputs is our mobile entertainment system these days, and for that streaming just doesn't work.

Thank you everyone for your input! I decided to get the DVD exclusive pack from Walmart with the Mockingjay pendant. I'm not a fan of the ultraviolet digital copy either and I didn't want to wait for Amazon to ship it anyway. Tonight, my family and I are having a Hunger Games themed evening, my kids can hardly wait. We're going to roast chicken on the grill rotissiere, make fresh bread like Peeta's, wrap goat cheese in basil leaves for Reaping Day, have blueberries as nightlock and finish it off with hot chocolate like Katniss drank in the Capitol.

I was going to post about Walgreens as well. We got back a little while ago and got it for $14.99. They had plenty left since they had them behind the counter and the cashier didn't know where they were! Inc. the digital copy as well.

We also went to Sam's and they were charging 17.99 for the DVD or $20.99 for a special set than inc. a mockingjay pendant. I told my DD12 that the pendant wasn't worth $6 was it? She said it was. We stuck with the one from Walgreens. She and her friend are watching it now. She plans on watching it at least twice today. This is my first time watching.

I did a search and $14.99 was the best price I found.

$14.99 is a good price. We had a $5 Target gift card so my oop was $11.99 for the dvd. The digital copy says it can be loaded into Itunes, so I'll try that later. I'm not a fan of 'the cloud' and having all my stuff stored elsewhere. I want it where I can access it without wifi or having to be connected.

I bought mine at Target today (DVD/Special Feat + Digital Copy). I actually traded in an old iPod for a $16 GC so paid only $2 for it!

On one side of the paper insert, is a code to redeem via iTunes (same as where you'd plug in the code for an iTunes GC) and it will download to your iTunes account. I put mine on my iPad and it works great! It also said you can use it with UltraViolet (which I had never heard of) and I attempted to figure out how to use that but it was SO confusing so I gave up lol

I price matched walgreens at walmart and used the kroger coupons to get free coke, free chex mix and a free razor w/ it. So I'm pretty happy.

It included 2 disc Blue Ray DVDs with added bonus scenes, parachute compartment necklace, 14" district 12 arena sack, bag clip (to hang on backpacks, etc... with lots of district 12 symbols- a piece of coal, flame, etc...) It was $49.95

I got mine at Kroger with the free $5.99 Silk Razor, $1.59 bottle Coke, and $2.79 bag Gardettos or Chex Mix. ($16.00 DVD or $19.99 2 disc Bluray with digital copy)

So after freebees, my Bluray was like $10. Not bad.
