Best place to buy diapers

My first baby is six weeks old and it's finally time to buy diapers. The shower presents, etc have dried up. What do you guys think the best place, generally speaking, is for diapers?

Personally I usually did the best at target. I have also used amazon and love it just for not having to leave my house. I didn't use costco for diapers since they only have their brand or huggies and we only used pampers.

I like Target and Amazon but I think it depends what brand you use. I use AmazonPrime/AmazonMom to get 20% off diapers and wipes when I need them and Target isn't running a special.

But I also love when target runs their gift card promo. I wait until its the buy 2 boxes of pampers and get a $20-$25 gift card. I then use a manufacturers coupon and a targt coupon stacked together and the cartwheel app discount if it's available at the time. I then also use my pharmacy rewards for another 5% off and my Target Red debit card for 5% more off. I try to stock up and buy 4-6 boxes when all of those things align and that will last me a few months

It all depends on what you want. Amazon can be less but their price is variable so you have to catch it at the right time and do subscribe and save (you can cancel after it ships). I like target as you can use coupons, target coupons, cartwheel, and redcard. Costco can be good if you catch it on a sale time. This month isn't a sale.

It just depends on the diapers you use. Pampers are outrageously priced compared to other nonorganic diapers so regardless you will be paying multiple cents higher than anything else. For example, I got target brand size 3 diapers for 9 cents a diaper on sale where pampers would be in the 20 cent+ range.

I was on Amazon Mom until my free subscription ran out over 1yr ago. They had better prices on diapers compared to the others. We use Huggies and Pampers, which ever is cheapest. Don't forget Amazon sometimes has coupons you can clip.

Costco has the $6 or 8 off diapers 2-3 times a year. It makes the Huggies a slightly better deal, since Amazon now charges me tax. But I would not go get a Costco membership just for diapers. They also ship free to your house.

If you want the best deals, it's usually at CVS with coupons (mostly online coupons) and store rewards. CVS often run a buy $30 baby stuff get $10 or $5 extra carebucks. Pair that with pampers/huggies coupons and sometime CVS coupons (buy $30 get $5 off). I've gotten as low as $0.10 a diaper for size 3.

Wipes are a bit different. If you have a grocery store that doubles coupons, you can easily get down to 1/2 cent per wipe.

I do not like the Costco brand diapers, they leak. But we've been ok with Luvs. They are cheaper. Have not tried Target, but make sure you get their mobile coupons and Cartwheels.

I know everyone has their favorites, I'm a huggies fan. I coupon and watch sales and I have found I do my best at CVS rolling their register rewards to keep buying diapers. I will say though that I have bought CVS brand and Walgreens brand and they were fine. I have a boy and he ALWAYS leaked with pampers, so weird. My daughter could use any brand, not this brat!

Walgreens a couple weeks ago had buy one package of walgreens diapers get a package free. So it ended up being like 3.50 a package, so 15 cents a diaper.

So I watch Walgreens and CVS.

We use Luvs and get them from BJs. They frequently have coupons in the circulars that are sent home. My mom shops at BJs too so I have her clip coupons for me. We stock up when we have multiple coupons.

I bought DD two big boxes from BRU. DGS needed to go up a size after she had used one box so we carried the other one back to exchange it. The would not do an even exchange even though the diapers had the same base price and were the same brand. I only got credit for the sale price and was charged the full price for the new box. Never will I buy diapers there again!

I used Babies R Us brand on DD. They worked great for me. And I prefer their baby wipes to others.

Have you looked at diapers.com? With discounts they are usually pretty cheap too. They have code on their front page for $10 off your first diaper order right now.

We ordered from amazon and they were usually cheaper except when target was on sale and offering gift cards.we used pampers. I prefer the target brand wipes.

Thanks! I had no idea the prices varied so much by brand. I've used pampers, huggies, and Luvs so far, and while I liked the pampers best, the others were fine. It looks like target and amazon with sales and coupons are the way to go. When my son is 6 months I'll be back to work and done nursing. I'm assuming all of the diaper tips will apply to formula as well, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

All depends on what you're looking for.

I loved having Amazon Mom (with prime shipping!) - the diapers arriving at my door was a lifesaver in those early days when carrying my tiny son in his "bucket" carseat and a case of diapers (plus a case of formula!) was just too much. The discount was awesome, especially as his formula was more expensive than average!

Diaper brand only matters if you/your little one have a preference. My son was most comfy in Pampers Snugglers in those early days. When he sized out of those, he developed a nasty case of diaper rash from the next step up of Pampers brand, so we switched to Huggies. Get the brand that works for you.

It really does depend on what you want. I usually find that I can get good deals using Target coupons with manufacture's coupons and occasionally Target will offer a gift card if you buy two boxes. I usually load up when these things come together. If I don't have coupons, I will often buy at Costco.

Agree, but be careful where you "load up". Costco has been pretty good since their prices don't change. If you end up having a big box of 1-2s and need to move to 3s, it can be a problem.

Formula is a totally different animal. I would NEVER buy formula online. We've had issues with food items from Amazon due to the storage and shipping environment. I nursed and supplemented with Similac, which is rarely onsale. Target has a buy 3 get $5 GC deal every now and then, that's about it. Otherwise it's cheaper at Costco/Sam's.

If you can, try pumping. Most offices are required to have a nursing room. Paying $200 for a pump is a lot cheaper than formula, it's a plus for your health and the baby's.

And our current choice of wipes is Huggies One and Done. They are awesome! We keep a pack on the kitchen table.

I like the Target diapers because they work well. They often have coupons or discounts on them, especially through Cartwheel. I also like that Target is close by and they're open early and close late.

I use cloth! They're not what they used to be-super cute and save tons of money! (If that's what you're going for) My daughter is in an Alice in Wonderland one right now

Amazon Mom is a great deal! They often have 20% off diapers.

DD uses a combination of cloth and ones from the Honest Company.

You just need to figure out which diapers work best for your baby and go from there.
