I know it's 9 months away, but figured I research now.

What is the best place on property for thanksgiving dinner? We ate at Hollywood and Vine for Thanksgiving 2010 and was very dissapointed. It was like eating in a cafeteria with plastic plates, lanolium tables, and plastic chairs. They didn't even have pumpkin pie..... oh and 4 adults and 2 kids came to $240 after tip!

We will be there again for Thanksgiving 2012 and wanted something nicer. I don't mind if its expensive, but would hope the quality would make it worth the money.

Thanks for any advice you guys may have!

Liberty Tree Tavern would probably be your most traditional in food and theming.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Boma a few years ago and it was awesome! They had their regular delicious soups and specialties, but they also served traditional Thanksgiving dishes, including turkey, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, etc....

I'd definitely book as early as you can ;).

We went to Boma this past Thanksgiving and I do NOT recommend it. The only things we enjoyed were the traditional Thanksgiving food served and the Hummus. I wouldn't go back there again. Just a little input on my end. I'm sure there will be dissenters here.

If I was going back again this time I think I would probably book something at Epcot.

I would probably go with Liberty Tree Tavern, too. But if you check at disneyfoodblog.com, they have a whole area that discusses this. Might give you some good suggestions.

In 2009, we actually had our Thanksgiving dinner at CRT, and honestly, the Thanksgiving meal was SOOOOOOOO much better than CRT's normal meals. It was the regular turkey, mashed potato, veggie, etc...but it was really good!! And, the perfect setting for a holiday meal. :goodvibes

I feel silly asking, but what does CRT stand for? thanks!:goodvibes

In 2009, we did a F! dinner package on Thanksgiving at the Brown Derby with their fixed price menu. It was wonderful and the whole family enjoyed it.

We've done the past 3 Thanksgivings at WDW. We prefer a buffet - like to have more variety, and some of the kids aren't fans of turkey.

Did Chef Mickey our first year. It was okay - not the greatest dinner buffet to begin with.. but the Thanksgiving fixin's were good! We would consider doing it again.

Crystal Palace we did in '10 and was our favorite. Loved the Thanksgiving food and everythign else. Wanted to do it this past year, but it wasn't listed as a restaurant that would be serving a Thanksgiving meal - actually, it wasn't listed as such the year we went, but they did. Want to book it for this thanksgiving, but don't want to if they end up not having thanksgiving food.

Cape May we did this year. By far we feel this is the BEST dinner buffet on property! Really was a great meal, all the regular stuff plus the thanksgiving food. Only issue I had was I love dark meat - and theirs was lousy - it was sitting in a pan with water. ew. And no pumpkin pie... my daughter really wanted some.

Still tryign to decide for this year where we will go.
The fort seems like a good choice we are considering, and maybe Chef Mickey's again.... but at this point seems Cape May will be the winner- mainly because it's the best meal for the money - and it is probably the only time I can fit dining there into my schedule for this trip! Hopefully the dark meat is better this year!

Great suggestions everyone!

Has anyone tried Trails End at Fort Wilderness for Thanksgiving? It looks like the cheapest buffet on property at around $30 per adult, and the atmosphere seems kids of neat at Fort Wilderness.

Is it cheaper b/c of its remote location or b/c of poor food quality. Is it nice enough for thanksgiving dinner?
