Our family is contemplating a WDW Christmas 2003 and I'm just curious what restaurant, in the parks or resorts, that might easily accomodate a party of 15 or more.

Any suggestions?

We have a party of 15 going Dec.14th thru Dec.21st. We have made PS at: 50s Prime Tiime, Ohanas' , Chef Mickey's and Donald's Breakfastosaurus. They just say that we might not all sit together at the same table.

We had a party of ten and ate at Chefs De France, Restaurant Marakesh(awesome!), Kona Cafe, Biergarten.

At Biergarten you would probably be split between two tables and it is very LOUD! It was hard to have any kind of conversation when the band was playing. There also was not one thing on the menu that my DS would eat. (See note under Restaurant Marakesh)

Chefs De France was very nice, our only "no kids" dinner and we really enjoyed it. They just put tables together and it was no problem.

Restaurant Marakesh was hands down the favorite choice of every adult in the party. Kids, however, even though we just got chicken kabobs for them, didn't like the spices on the chicken. (However, our kids have got to be the pickiest kids on the planet...our DS existed almost entirely on fries that week! Thank goodness I had healthy stuff in the room to balance)

Kona Cafe was also good, again they just put tables together and it was no problem.

Also, several times we brought food for the kids (from nearby counter service) into a sit down restaurant. There was never a problem with this and it helped us parents enjoy a few more nice meals.

Have a great trip!

I called and asked about table sizes at the parks. I found that MGM had 3 places that could seat large parties easily. Mama Melrose, Brown Derby, and H&V all have tables seating 10 - 20. Sorry, but I can't remember the exact numbers for each.

Pretty much all the sit down restaurants can accommodate larger parties, but here are some suggestions.

Parks:
MK:LTT, Cindy's (can be difficult), Tony's
EC: All the WS countries, Germany only has large tables, Coral Reef
ST: Mama Melrose, H&V, 50s Prime (Might be tight), Brown Derby

Resorts:
Concourse, CM's, Whispering Canyon, Artist Point, Hoop Dee Doo, Ohana, Kona, GF Cafe, 1900 (tight fit), Cape May, Yachts St, Flying Fish, Jiko, Boma

Thank you for the information. I will pass this one to my sister in law who will be making the arrangements. I'd personally like to try one of the restaurants in the World Showcase since my immediate family has been to Disney World the most but I'll leave it up to her to decide (with a little advice from me). ;)

Greetings! I just wanted to add a comment about our experience with large groups (we had 19 on our family reunion). It always seemed to take FOREVER to get the main meal served in table service restaurants. This is because they try to serve everyone in the party at one time. We spent MUCH more time than usual waiting for meals. Later in the trip, we found that buffets worked much better because you didn't have the wait.
Have a great trip!

We had 18 in our group in June. We ate together at Prime Time and had a room to ourselves. There seemed to be plenty of space for everyone and the servers were terrific. At Rainforest Cafe in DD they put us in an alcove all together. The best of the trip was Donald's Breakfast. We were the first ones in the park and finished in time to be first on Dinosaur.

I'm sure there are plenty of other places where you could be seated together. Your SIL should call Disney dining. They will be able to tell her what will work best.

Have a great trip with your family!
