As we are in the mad dash to make all of our PS's for our March vacation, we are trying to decide on a place and time for dinner PS's before Fantasmic. We are planning to go the 8:30 show and are back and forth about dinner at Sci-Fi (heard the kids would love this) or Hollywood & Vine (heard you get better seats for Fantasmic and can upgrade your PS to a "dinner package"). Any suggestions or accurate info. on whether these are even true. Which is closer to Fantasmic. AND, if you wanted to see the 8:30 Fantasmic show, what time would you make PS's for?:Pinkbounc

We did the Fantasmic! Dinner Package at Hollywood and Vine last year and LOVED it. We were 2 families - a total of 4 adults and 4 children (ages 9, 7, 7, &3). EVERYONE had a really good time and thought that the food was great!

I highly recommend the root beer sweet potatoes and the shrimp pasta!

This past July, we ate at Hollywood and Vine, and did the dinner package, and had great seats for Fantasmic. The food was really good, although, I also liked Sci-Fi Dine in Theatre. This place gets knocked down too much - the food was just as good as anywhere else in the parks, the shakes were wonderful, and the entertainment was great. Our waiter was hilarious, and I can't wait to eat their on our next trip.

I love both of them, so if you plan on visiting them both either way, go to Hollywood and Vine for the dinner package, and eat at Sci-Fi another night, or for lunch. Both of them are a treat!

I called to make the PS's for Fantasmic dinner package during our March vacation. I was able to make PS's for Hollywood & Vine but was told I couldn't turn it into a "Fantasmic Dinner Package" until 7 days prior to our trip? Why is this? I don't want to miss out on getting the dinner package. Anything special I should say to the CM (I'm assuming it is first-come-first-serve on seats? or is it first-come-first-serve the night of the actual show....or by order that you call and make PS's). I really appreciate all of the veteran answers!:earsboy:

I would like to know this also. I would like to make ps for our March trip but have no idea what is going on with fantasmic and the dinner pkg. Anyone know ??????

Just a note: they might want you to wait closer to your travel date to make the PS- but I don't think they are being sticklers on the "7 days" part of that. I recently made the PS for my fantasmic dinner package at H&V for Jan 25th and I think that was last Friday that I did that? It was either Friday or Thursday. So you can clearly see that wasn't anywhere near 7 days prior to that date. But it WAS a lot closer than one for March. LOL

I called last week to reserve a dinner seating for that day and the CM started to tell me they were not doing them anymore. He then realized I was calling on the day of the seating and quickly set it up while telling me they would be reverting to to 7 day PS after jan 31st Barb
