Best Place for Cocktails

Personally, I like the environment of sitting in the Tambu Lounge with a pina colada looking out over the beautiful grounds of the Polynesian!

I like the lounges in bluezoo at the Dolphin and Il Mulino at the Swan. Definitely more of a lounge/adult atmosphere.

I also enjoy Mizners at the Grand Floridian.

The Bluezoo's lounge definitely has the most creative cocktails. It also has a pretty cool atmosphere.

Runners-up for me are the Cabana Bar at the Dolphin, Victoria Falls and the Jiko lounge at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, La Cava del Tequila in Epcot, the Wave lounge at the contemporary and the Belle Vue lounge at the Boardwalk.

Cocktails mean coktails, not a beer. Good cocktails before dinner would depend on where you are eating. Why travel for just a G&T. That being said BellVue at BW best quiet, drinking lounge on property. But don't tell anyone or else they will show up.;)

Lorna the lounge at AKL is also pretty cool(lots of atmosphere). As others have said, the Tambu loung is cool when you get the Lapu Lapu served in a pineapple(expensive though). Another suggestion: Buy some booze and chill out at your resort. Chilling & sipping at the resort is sublime(especially if you have nice weather & a balcony).:earsboy:

i like my cocktails can you recommend a place

Let's See (in no particular order) . . .
1) Cocktails, romantic and classical music (sometime music too loud)
. . . Mizner Lounge, Grand Floridian mezzanine

2) Cocktails, light Jazz
. . . Scat Cat Lounge, Port Orleans French Quarter

3) Cocktails, quiet and low-lit
. . . Territory Lounge, Wilderness Lodge

4) Cocktails, water views, friendly (but, may be too bright during the day)
. . . Capt'n Jacks, Downtown Disney

NOTE: I do not list other hotel bars because they tend to get too noisy with kids - a byproduct of a family resort. Also, bars associated with restaurants get noisy with patrons awaiting tables. I listed places where one can drink pretty much in peace (like in a Country Club bar).

Are you able to get a beer at the all-star resort?

Yes! In the food court and pool side area bar, depending upon which All Star you are at. I love having a cold adult beverage while my kids wind down in the pool!

I concur with Jersey Girl my favorite bar is Martha's Vineyard!!! Great bartender who has been there for years. She never forgets her regulars - makes you want to go back!!!!

Plus you can take your drink and go outside and sit on the "beach". It is also more quiet than some of the others.

I look for a good bartender first and foremost as that is what makes a good "bar".

Another bar with good bartenders is Gurgling Suitcase at OKW. Fun atmosphere with DVC'rs who are there to have a good time!!!

Also like the bar at Wolfgangs (Starburst Martinis...mmmmm)

New favorite (if you can get in) is the Tequila Bar in Mexico (passionfruit margaritas are the best!!!!).

Have fun - explore them all and find the one you like best!

My husband and I love to do a monorail tour of the GF, Polynesian and Contemporary and hit their bars. Great way to drink and drive (ride) safely. :)

We love a good drink and appetizer in a nice lounge. Some of the best experiences we have had were at WL the Territory Lounge, can't go wrong with drinks there and the BLT flatbread pizza was great, along with the Nachos.

My personal "must do" is Victoria Falls Lounge at AKL. They have lovely wines and the bread and spreads app is great. My husband enjoys the African ales.

I must weigh in on the Tambu Lounge. That was our favorite lounge until they got rid of Kaleo (sp?) The backscratcher and Lapu Lapu were fantastic, the sticky wings, remarkable. The crowds for O'hana, unbearable.

Good luck!

We also do the same thing. And what we love is that these bars also accept the Tables in Wonderland card so we get the 20% discount on our bar bill. We love to do the monorail crawl!

Also, a favorite for us, when we stayed at BLT last year was going up to the Top of the World Lounge. Perfect. The only thing is, you have to be a guest staying at BLT to get there. But it was great.

Oh, another great little drink spot we found is at SSR and the Turf Club lounge area. Nice and relaxing for a mid afternoon refreshment and snack. :thumbsup2

Another vote for the bluezoo lounge here. Bazooka Joe martini. Need I say more?

Also, the bar at the Flying Fish is wonderful as well. The Blood Orange margarita is to die for!
