:wizard: Hey everybody I love the character meals and have been trying to find the best place to go to one in WDW. Does anybody have any reccomendations. :earsboy:

We have eaten at the following
Chef Mickeys Dinner we like this one for our first nite & then we ride the monorail. Food is good.
Crystal Place Lunch this one has very good food & it is a nice break from the park. go around 1:30 then go get your spot for the parade.

Cape May Breakfast we do a 10 or later breakfast this one is our favorite. Great food & because we go later the Char are not rushed.

CRT- have not done this one with kids, but we liked it.

Ohana Breakfast- this was our worst experence. the food was not our cup of tea. I do not think the room is set up well for the Char it was hard for them to get around.

::MickeyMo We really enjoy Chef Mickey's and Liberty Tree Tavern.

We'll be trying Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare for the first time this year. ::MinnieMo

Chef Mickey's food makes me want to hurl, and the frenzied atmosphere makes my brains jiggle. I just can't understand why people like this place. Highly over rated, one of the worst meals at WDW, especially for the price.

For GOOD food and a much calmer atmosphere, 1900 Ppark Fare is the way to go.

I also like Donald's breakfast at the AK.

There's some new management at the LTT, and I think we'll see some of the problems there improve--the overcooked dry meats for example. It's a very nice atmosphere for sure!

::MickeyMo Hmm...that's interesting. I've never had a problem with the food at Chef Mickey's or LTT. In fact, the meat is one of the reasons we return to LTT. It's been delish every time we've gone. Especially the flank steak. ::MinnieMo

If over cooked, dry, cold bland, tasteless food is what you like, then you might like the CM's. About they only thing they seem to do right are the bread and glazed carrots.

LTT is much better, but certainly not anywhere near my short list for great dining at WDW.

Chef Mickeys was way too loud for me to enjoy, i know people love it there but I could only handle it once. Ohana's was cute for breakfast, for dinner it's great but no characters. Liberty Tree Tavern definately one of my new favorite character meals, character interaction was wonderful- food was good. The best character interaction was at the Ice Cream Social in Epcot, characters spent a long time with my DD.

Crystal Palace!!! Love that Pooh Bear!! Good food, great character interaction, bright and airy surroundings. I thought the restaurant itself was quite lovely . Even though it was quite busy at lunch, the service was fantastic. Never felt rushed. Characters came around 2 or 3 times. Looking forward to our second visit next month.

Hi!

We always like eating at the Garden Grill (The Land pavilion, Epcot) I don't know when you're going, but it appears to be closed through the beginning of April (according to Deb's site). The food (usually beef, chicken, fish, and sides) is all you can eat served family style. The restaurant rotates slooooooowly so you get to see different scenery throughout your meal.

And we've never had to wait more than 15 minutes without a PS to get in.
