Best Place for Birth Announcements?

We had our newborn pictures taken and are expecting to receive them any day. We'll have a CD of all edited images with the rights to print them as desired, so we'll pick our favorite to use on our birth announcements. Any recommendations for high quality prints that don't cost an arm and a leg? We've used everything from Walmart/CVS/Walgreens to Shutterfly in the past for holiday cards. I'd like the quality to be good (good paper/cardstock and good printing), but I know this can get pricey. Any recommendations for places you've liked? Thanks in advance!

I have used Costco in the past. I think it was 50 cards for $10.

Just used VistaPrint for some birthday invites. Less than $10 for 20 plus cost of shipping. Beautiful! I liked that I could edit easily (fonts, move text boxes), don't always get that with other places. Congrats on your new baby!

My best friend is a professional wedding photographer. She uses Nations Photo Lab for her prints. I used them too recently and was very impressed with the quality and price, although the birth announcements are a bit more expensive than Costco. Congratulations!

I design my own and print through Vistaprint. I upload my design to a 5x7 postcard because you get more for significantly less money than other options. I buy my envelopes from Walmart or Amazon.

Are you actually looking for prints (on photo paper), or formal announcements (on cardstock)? I know that will change the cost and probably the recommendations as well.
