Best place for a DIS Meet??

We are leaving in 3 days and our 1/17 Western Magic group has not decided where to have our meet

We have decided that right after the sailaway party would be a good time but don't know where to meet.

Any suggestions??

Where were your DIS Meets? Did it work out well?

We have a huge group and would love a good turn out.

We did ours at the Promenade Lounge right after the life boat drill and it seemed to work out pretty well......Andy

We had ours at the sailaway party, and it was nice, but I was so excited to be on the ship I really didn't get into it too much.
I have read that some people met for lunch at like Tritons/Lumieres and that it was really fun.

On our first cruise we arranged to meet after the life boat drill at Scoops and only one other family showed up. (We almost forgot also.) The second cruise we were to meet on deck 7 after the sail away party on deck 9. We had a fairly decent sized group but everyone in early seating had to leave right away to get ready for dinner. It's very hard to have the DISmeet on the first day especially if there's people on their first DCL cruise who can't wait to check out the ship. The idea of lunch at Lumiere or Triton's sounds great because most people are settled by then and it's quiet with plenty of room for everyone and their children if they want to bring them.

Recommend that you do it the first at sea day. That way everyone has been to Key West and also made all their reservations. Between 1 & 2 PM is a good time.

For larger groups the atrium lobby is a good location and should be empty at that time. There is a large empty out-of-the-way area on the starboard side of the ship. The Promenade Lounge is also pretty good but at 1:15 they had a talk there on our cruise.

Setting it up for a outside meet isn't necessarily a good idea. Ours just about was blown away by the wind across the deck on Deck 10 behind the Goofy Pool.
