If you are a member and have one close to you, Sam's Club! They are around $38. We have had ours for years and haven't had any problems. They are the ones that go from twin to king size.
I am cheap, but I would check places like "Thrift shops" first, probably get one for the fraction of a price of furniture store. I know we got one for a guest bedroom for $3.
Some people might be weird about buying something like that used, but c'mon it is metal and a few pieces of plastic how dirty can it really be? If it makes ya feel better hose it off, then wipe it down in bleach before bringing it in the house.
Goodwill! I had just paid for a brand new one when I stumbled across a slew of them for muuuuuch cheaper there. I definitely smacked my head when I saw that -- I mean, they're metal frames no one sees, it's not like they have to be spiffy. I think everytime I've seen them they've been on the floor against a wall, so you may have to hunt for them. My closest store puts them under the rack of bed linens.
It is interesting that you mentioned Goodwill. It must be a regional thing, because I tried to donate the bed frame from my son's bed in February, and Goodwill refused to take it. I can understand mattresses, but this was the metal frame only. Since we actually had it for quite some time, I just recycled it.
