I am watching a show on the Travel Channel about best pizza places in the US.
What are your favorite places? Where are they located? What are your favorite types there and why?
I have 2 favs:
1) Theo's Pizza: Somerville, MA: This is hands down the BEST pizza I've ever had-buttery crispy crust, gooey cheese, great spices in the sauce, just delicious! My favorite types are plain cheese & eggplant. This is also the place of origin for the sitcom "Two Guys, A Girl, & A Pizza Place"
2) Antonio's Pizza: Amherst, MA: If you are a UMASS alumni, you will know what I am talking about!
It's one of those places where you order slices & they offer about 20 different types of slices-everything from tortellini pizza to seafood pizza to mexican pizza, and the normal toppings as well. This place is always crowded & infamous amongst UMASS students. If you live in AZ, there is a pizza place in downtown Tempe called "Slices" that was inspired by Antonio's (they even have a photo of Antonio's on their wall!)
Let's hear your favs!
