The choices are from 1:30 to 3:25 pm. My parents are driving me up, from SoFL, and plan to take a tour of the Kennedy Space Center. They know I’d love to join them.

If we do the 11 am bus tour (2 hours), maybe spend another hour at the last stop (Apollo/Saturn 5), would that be feasible with a PAT of say, 2.45?

I really want to do this tour - but I also don’t want to be stressing and rushing.

**PATs available anytime from 1:30pm to 3:15 pm

Thoughts? Thanks!

JUst my thoughts, but a 2 hour tour at Kennedy Space Center just doesn't cover enough. And I'd be stressing about making it to the port in time, anyway.

Maybe you could look into staying in the area an extra day upon returning and visiting the center then?

Usually open boarding by then...and i agree with PrincessShmoo Kennedy takes a day!

It’s not so much the PAT that would have me stressing, but rather making sure I didn’t miss All Aboard. You can arrive any time after your PAT but if not onboard by 3:30 they close up and you’ve missed the cruise.

Oh it’s definitely not enough….

I don’t think it will be possible to get more time off, but the good thing is I can do this anytime…

Thank you!

Great point.

I think I’ll save KSC for another time, when it’s my priority …

Then - if I don’t do KSC, should I just choose the earliest PAT?

Thanks!

Not worth the stress to me to try and fit too much into one day. I wouldn’t enjoy the Space Center knowing I needed to get to my cruise. I’d pass on it this time and enjoy your cruise!

Yeah, I’ve decided to save it for another time. I’m kind of a space buff, and I want to be focused on that and not distracted.

Thanks!

Since you have taken off the stressor if squeezing in an activity just before boarding an expensive cruise (It would be a shame to miss the boat due to unforeseen / uncontrollable circumstances), decide if you are the type who likes to stand in line /wait in a crowd to catch the excitement of the experience.

Lots of cruises for me, so I don‘t appreciate the buzz of energy in the Terminal nor the buffet lunch or seeing the guests wander / lounge around waiting for cabins to be ready (around 2:30, I think).

But I think first timers (and those who enjoy the above) should go for an early PAT if they want and can get it.

For years, I picked the earliest available PAT. Now I am content arriving when I get to walk up, check-in and stroll onto the ship. I say that, but I think I may not have done that yet. Probably still “To Excited to Sleep” - and don’t want to miss boarding.

You can show up after your PAT. I don’t think I have picked a really late PAT for any cruise/ cruise line.

I’ve done two cruises, but not for awhile. I actually HATE waiting in line, lol.

Since we have to leave early anyway, maybe walk around and have an early lunch in Cocoa Beach?

I like your thinking. I was wondering what/where you could have a little adventure with your folks besides their just being transport.

Especially if we leave early in the morning …we’d have time to check out the beach, maybe walk downtown and have lunch…

They might end up staying there since they’re going to spend a couple of days in the area…

I’ll never look at I Dream of Jeannie the same way, lol (it’s set in CB)

Maybe Roger Healey will bumble his way into your day there. It can’t be Master, as he was shot at North Fork. Entertaining myself here.
