DP has announced that she'd like to eat at one of the Italian restaurants because she loves pasta (okay I do too). So we were trying to decide between Tutto Italia and Via Napoli and so I thought I'd get some input. I know Via Napoli has some great pizza, but to be honest I'm 99% sure we won't order a pizza. How's their pasta? Which one, in your opinion, is better in this case? Thanks! :goodvibes

For pasta I would go to Tutto Italia personally YUM :)

If pizza wasn't my main dinner objective I would book something other than Via Napoli! Our group really enjoyed their pizza and salad, especially the mushrrom pizza (my personal favorite) My son ordered a chicken pasta dish in a cream sauce which was good but he said next time he would do strictly pizza & salad.

I can't provide the "compare and contrast" part of the question because I haven't been to Tutto (before the renovations, the pasta were really good, but my favorite was the risotto) since it re-opened, but VN does have some very good pasta dishes. I personally like the pizza, but my father always orders the frutti de mare and says it's really good.

I haven't been to Tutto since the refurb but before the spag and meatballs were great. OTOH..I had spag and meatballs at VN and they were great too!I know not helping!!

Can I ask an add-on question. How about if you include Il Mulino at the Swan or Portabella in Downtown Disney? Are the restaurants in Italy in Epcot better than the Italian restaurants elsewhere on property? Is there anywhere else I am forgetting about. My husband and I are doing the marathon in January and are looking for a good pasta choice outside of the parks.

Il Mulino and Portobello are better than either of the EPCOT restaurants by a country mile. I'm Mulino is head and shoulders above all the other Italian restaurants on Disney property. Their only glimmer of competition is in Portobello.

I have only been to Il Mulino only once...we were a group of 6 and found it very pricey... but I would love to go back.........ps.. i have never been to the other restaurants mentioned in this thread... so will continue to read on..

I would rank them Il Mulino (especially for a romantic meal), Portabello, Via Napoli and then Tutto. I didn't care for Tutto at all.
