Best Park for Thanksgiving Day

We enjoy Epcot on Black Friday when the storytellers and CP begin. We used to do AK the few times we have been on Thanksgiving but it is probably now more crowded with the addition of Pandora. The other parks might be as well so it might not make a difference which you choose.

In 2017 we did Animal Kingdom on Thanksgiving Day. We slept in/rested and didn’t arrive until around 3 or 4, but the crowds actually were not bad.

I've worked at the parks for years and quite honestly none of the parks are that crowded during Thanksgiving! I would recommend Epcot or AK just because Studios is ridiculous at all times now with Galaxy's Edge and MK is always crowded as well! :)

If you get there early, MK might be good, but I only have one time on Thanksgiving experience. We tried getting to MK before RP, ended up walking in right after. It wasn't too bad in the morning, we tried the mine train but it was already a little long so walked back to adventure land direction. We got Jungle Cruise, BTMR twice, Splash, PotC then the Country Bears, all with little wait before 11. We tried going to HM but it was really long, then as we got to the hub, it was really crowded so we left. But then looking at the app after 5 that day, waits were not too bad. So it was just mid day rush.

We're going to MK that day because the night before, the MK is open until 1am and EP and HS have early openings that day. So here's hoping everyone goes anywhere but MK on Thanksgiving.

I am going to warn you now that I have not ever seen crowds like this week at Disney. I have been before at Thanksgiving. I have been mid December, July 4th, MLK weekend, and Mardi Gras. This place is chaos right now.

Take advantage of early hours and rope drop. We have to leave the parks around lunch because we just can’t deal and we have never been bothered by crowds before.

Be patient and if you can ditch your bag do it.

In the past we always did MK on Thanksgiving and then AK/Epcot on Black Friday.

Personally never thought MK was that crazy on Thanksgiving and it just has an awesome vibe on a holiday.

On Friday we would typically do AK in the morning as it was less crowded and then head over to Epcot at night for the CP and story tellers.

Kind of gave us the best of both worlds

Done this several times with kids and always had a blast.

Wish we were there this year!

Last year we did HS through mid-afternoon, rope dropping Alien Saucers, but otherwise with a lot of focus on shows. We hopped to MK around 4, used our 3 FPs, did a few anytime attractions, and had Thanksgiving dinner reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern. The kids were able to get a couple of rides on Big Thunder in the last 15 minutes while my wife and I shopped.

We did not find MK to be overly crowded that night at all.

We have done MK on Thanksgiving day (EMH was the day before, and it was open late that evening) and the crowds weren't too bad.
In general, we don't do EMHs and do a park the day after EMH as the crowds may be slightly less.
