My family is going to Orlando in mid June. We are arriving 2 days early before departing on a cruise from Port Canaveral. I was wondering what would be something we could do in those two days before leaving in Walt Disney World that would be fun for ages 2, 4, and 7? I think we would only plan to go to one park for only one day. Which one would be our best bet? Open to any suggestions from seasoned WDW vacationers.

You're going to have a wonderful time ~ I would say one park has to be the Magic Kingdom!

We haven't even ventured out of the MK after three trips with my 4 yo. BUT, the next time we go, we definately will not miss MGM. My brother tells me there are shows there geared to preschool children that I want to see before Happy gets to old to appreciate them. Playhouse Disney, specifically, is supposed to be fabulous and geared to the 5 and under set. He also suggests that it's a half day hit with little ones at best, so you could do a half day there and an extra half day at MK with park hoppers.

Yet, to answer your exact question, the Magic Kingdom is the best park for preschoolers. Fantasyland and Toontown are truly magical experiences for young children.

Have fun!

Mine were 4 and 6 first time I took them. Definitely the MK! If you aren't a seasoned WDW veteran, I would suggest a guide book to do a bit of planning. Maybe even the WDW for Kids by Birnbaum. It make great bedtime reading for the kids, and will offer insight into which rides kids like. Other suggestions:

1) Get there early if you can. Breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends is a nice way to start the day.

2) I still love the morning stroll down Main Street with the Castle in the backgroud! It really is Magical!

3) If you don't know about Fastpass, make sure you do by the time you get there. You'll be able to do so much more in one day, especially in June.

4) Ageless must do's for my kids (now 10 and 12) are the train, the "blue cars" (Tomorrowland Transit Authority), Carosel of Progress, Tomorrowland Speedway.

5) Take a group photo either by the Roy and Minnie Statue as you first get on Main Street, or by the Walt statue at the end of Main Street. Take the same photo every time you go back (assuming you will go back at some point).

6) Have a great trip!

i would have to say MK, but if they like animals a lot take them to the AK, they will love it! cuz i know i sure do

Im glad we took DS to the MK when he was 4
When we returned when he was 9 he didnt want those rides anymore
Now that he's almost 12 the AK is his favorite

Another vote for MK!!!

But, If you have more than 1 day available, My kids enjoyed AK also

My preschoolers loved Epcot the best. Keep in mind, my oldest is a big scardy cat when it came to rides. At Epcot, there are the fountains to run in, the playground at Norway, the little trains in Germany. My son went wild for the troupe in Great Britain and my other son loved the Japanese drum show so much, we had to watch it twice. They also enjoyed the Wonders of Life pavillion imensely. How many times did we go on the Imagination ride? Too many to count and we spent a good chunk of time in the Imagination playground. There is even a playground outside the Mission Space ride that was a blast (and it was indoors). The kids really liked the fish at aquarium. It was by far the most enjoyable place for my preschoolers. Also, and this was a huge plus, much of Epcot could be enjoyed from the stroller, unlike the MK where we were constantly taking the kids in and out of strollers.
