We have a family member meeting us for one day at Disney next weekend. She's in a wheelchair with a ventilator. We had planned to do Epcot that day but wondering if that's the park she would enjoy the most and be able to ride the most rides etc. she's 21 and has only been to Disney one time when she was 10 or so:)

It would be easier to answer with a little more information.

What kind of things does she like to do?
What are her interests?
Is she able to come out of the wheelchair to ride some attractions?

There is a link in my signature that might be interesting and helpful to you. It is a trip report from a family with several members with power wheelchairs and ventilators.
It is a few years old, but there's still a lot of good information.

If she is on a ventilator I am not sure how many rides she will able to be ride period. However, in terms of things to see EPCOT has lots of displays and movies and interesting activities which are not rides.

Can she transfer and is the ventilator portable?

Sue I can't see your sig mobile could you post the link for me? She needs to stay in the chair the vent isn't portable. She's into most of the teenage type things and would love any rides that we can roll her chair onto (I understand this is going to be limited). We will have my two small kids (2 and 6) and she is excited to watch them experience Disney too. She did Disney at 10 or so and loved it but I think at that point they were able to take her in and out of the chair more.

I agree, more info is needed. You've labeled her a child in your title, but she's 21, and you state that she likes most teenage type things. I'm not getting a clear grasp of what social/intellectual age she is.

If she's into 'teenage stuff' I'd think she'd like some of the shows, street performances, and shops at DHS.

As others have stated, if she's confined to chair/vent, then there'd be more for her to see at EPCOT, but I think the shows in the world showcase are not all that exciting for someone functioning as a child (at least multiple shows in one day, KWIM?)

More info would be nice but generically and assuming all her equipment is portable, sounds like you would want attractions and rides that she would enjoy. My opinion you would want to go where she could maintain in her chair and certain rides they can accommodate this. Example, Pooh's adventure at magic has a special car that is wheel chair equipped and in fact there are actually several rides like this. For our family we prefer either Magic because our son can actually ride several rides and enjoy in the magic as opposed to just being passed around. Now every park has accord actions Magic is just our preference.

I would say Magic Kingdom. Her chair could go on Buzz Lightyear, It's a Small World, Jungle Cruise, Winnie the Pooh, Little Mermaid, Train, depending on the bottom height of the chair the Magic Carpets, Paddle Boat, Carousal of Progress, Mickey's Philharmagic, Laugh Floor, Country Bears, Hall of Presidents, Tikki Birds, Castle Shows, Parades and Fireworks.

Thanks so much for all the responses, I'm thinking magic kingdom might be best too. Her intellectual age is 21 but I'd say she us a bit more immature than that and does still like teenage like stuff (she's still in high school doing like a third year extended senior year so she spends most of her time with teenagers). Her chair is motorized and fairly big with the vent in the back. She has a nurse with her at all times. I'm going to check out all the links but magic kingdom seems like it might be the best bet

DBil is 24 and on a vent, his is portable and Dh lifts him in and out when he can, but you will be amazed at all Disney can do for those who cannot transfer. Someone earlier told you all you could do in MK, but any of the parks are great! DHS has toy story, great movie ride, muppets, backlot studio tour, lights motor action, beauty and the beast, fantasmic, the street actors could keep us occupied for hours, indiana jones, voyage of the little mermaid, and you could also spend hours visiting characters!
Don't worry too much, Disney has it all worked out and it will honestly amaze you at how accommodating they are!

is she on an ltv950 or 1050 ?
we have a 10 year old on a ltv 950 and there are lots of rides he can ride.
