Anyone (especially moms of littler ones) have a park bag that they love? I took a cross body backpack last year that was SOOO uncomfortable! Definitely need something different. I like to have everything I could need, plus a safe place for my dSLR camera.

I don't think everything I need will fit a fanny pack. I tend to overpack a bit.

I really like my Baggalini cross body but since you found that style uncomfortable I suggest the soft backpack my husband carries. It is a Rick Steves daypack. It is very soft and you can scrunch it up in your suitcase if you don't need to have it full on the plane. It is a nice light weight material. We found with our regular backpacks the heavy material is just too warm in Florida! There are outside pockets for water bottles and a couple of additional pockets in the bag. It is not too huge.
We have used both of our bags since 2008 for countless different types of family trips. We have 3 kids who are now teens and tweens who carry their own string bags these days but when we started they were much smaller and our bags were quite full for a day at the parks!

We use a light weight backpack that has multiple pockets including water bottle slots.

We have had great success with Eastpack or Jansport type backpacks. We pack our lunch and most snacks in with us...along with 6 water bottles apiece, so we are LOADED. The two padded shoulder straps distribute the weight comfortably. The only issue I have run into is that the backpacks can be irritating to try and position comfortably on the rides with tighter dimensions.

Personally, I LOVE the Thirty-One Sling Bag. It's much roomier than it looks, will hold a lot, and has smaller pockets in the front or little stuff, and mesh pockets on the sides for bottled water or P&S camera or other stuff. The bag zips on the side, and when you swing it around to the front of you, that side opening is on the top, super convenient. It is a good size to sit between your legs on most rides, I don't think I ever had to put it in a locker or had issues with it on any ride at WDW. (universal is another story!) And, it comes in fun prints :-)
