Best order to make reservations?

All this talk surrounding the difficulty in making reservations for November is stressing me out! To complicate things another family member is "in charge" of dining reservations but does not have a ton of knowledge about the process, the crowds we'll be dealing with etc. I've offered to take half the reservations to make it easier on her

Any feedback about what order these should be made and which ones I should be safe letting her make would be welcomed!

Arrive: Wed 11/25 -counter service
Thurs 11/26- Ohana dinner
Fri 11/27- 1900 Park dinner
Sat 11/28- Hollywood & Vine breakfast; Yak & Yeti dinner
Sun 11/29- BOG lunch or dinner
Mon 11/30- Beirgarten dinner
Tues 12/1- BOG lunch or dinner if not available on 11/29
Wed 12/2- Chef Mickey's breakfast

BOG first for sure. In my opinion, start with the one furthest from your arrival date. You will have a better chance of something being available for that one. Then try for the other BOG one. After that, I would just start with the ones that are closest to your arrival and work your way down the list. Good luck!

I would start off trying to get BOG, Chef Mickey's and Ohana's dinner furthest from your arrival date. You probably won't have luck getting Ohana's dinner on your arrival date, but doesn't hurt to try. I couldn't get Chef Mickey's dinner or BOG lunch until my 7th day of my stay. I also did not have any luck with Hollywood and Vine on the 5th or 6th day of my stay. But you never know you might just get lucky! Just keep trying! Good luck, hope everything works out for you!

So really, there is little chance of getting into any popular table service restaurant the first few nights after arrival. That's just crazy. We can move some things around to the end of the trip, it stinks that we'll likely have few good choices for thanksgiving dinner.

Now that I think about it you are not going during Free Dining week so you actually might have a better chance getting ADR's than the rest of us that are going during Free Dining week. You might still have to do BOG and Chef Mickey's towards the end of your trip, but the rest you probably will get without a problem.

As long as you arrive during a free dining date free dining extends through your entire stay, is that correct? If that's the case than there will still be some guests using free dining during the beginning of our trip but the number should get lower every day. I'm thinking The Wave for our Thanksgiving dinner back up

Yes, that is correct. As long as they check in by Nov 19 they can have free dining through Thanksgiving week. You will definitely have better luck with the harder to get ADR`s towards the end of your trip.

This morning, We easily got BOG at the end of our trip but not for the middle
Biergarten (first night of our trip)
Ohana dinner also the end of our trip

If you have more than 1 person, try form BOG and Ohana first
Then chef mickeys & h&v

I agree with the PP- BOG first, Ohana & Chef Mickey's, and all as far from your arrival date as possible, then work backwards to your arrival date. That was a good strategy for me, and I'm booking during the "week of no ADR's" lol. Ok that's exaggerating, but it just seems like it

We check in on the 19th and check out on the 30th and have free dining the whole trip. As long as you check in before the promo ends you get it for your whole trip. I think there is a max amount of days they allow it for, maybe 14. Last year we had 12 days, this year 11 days.

It depends, I got CM this morning for our arrival day, and BOG our third day. We have 6 people and I got everything at exactly the times I wanted including BOG and CRT, and ohana. It just depends, the issues seem to be random? We are booked 19-29th. I was shocked because we had no problems even on our first few days.

I know, I only saw negatives before I made mine, just making me a nervous wreck, so I just wanted to share a success story to maybe save some others some stress
