DH wants to start looking at options for taking all the kids and our grandson to WDW in 2009. We'd like to at least have everyone in the same resort - if not the same villa. But it'll be an odd mix of ages, so we're not even sure where to start.

What are the best options for a party of seven?

Cast is:
Five adults (me, dh, dd26, dsil28, ds19)
two children (DS7 and DGS3)

Two rooms? One villa? Same resort? Different resorts? A cabin?

Skip it and go by ourselves?:rotfl2: (Just kidding... well, sort of.)

We'll take all the advice we can get.

I guess it also depends on your budget, they now have suites at the value resorts or the Villa's is another option. The cabins at FW would probably be a little crowded, or connecting room at another Deluxe. Pofg has rooms for 5 (trundle bed). It is also possible to rent a Motorhome locally, they will bring it to FW.
I would look at the budget and what time of year and explore prices. We have stayed at most of the resorts and now stay at FW in a 5th wheel rv.

Personally I think a two bedroom villa would work out great for you and you'd have a little choice in theming as well. You and hubby could take the master bedroom with the King bed. Your daughter and her family could take the second bedroom and you son could take the pull out in the living room. You'd have a washer and dryer in your room and a full kitchen for snack or meals if you'd rather.

I would also recommend a two bedroom villa. If you rent points from a DVC member you can really save money off rack rates. We love the 2 bedrooms because you have the living area for the adults to spend time together after the kids are in bed.

both FW cabins and All Star music suites only sleep 6.

if you want everyone together it is a DVC villa.

AKV, OKW, SSR, BWV, BCV,VWL are the choices.

of course I would go with a 1-bedroom for you and your family. and a studio for everyone else.

or go with 2 studios.

okay I don't get along with my family as well as most of you do.

I vote 2 rooms or a villa-

I do know that the Boardwalk and the Wilderness Lodge have a larger "suite" type of room for 6 I think. (not 7)
Since you are really talking about 2 families I would go 2 rooms at the resort of your choice. That is an awful lot of togetherness if you don't.
