Looking at staying in a one bedroom for a few days for our anniversary. I have narrowed it down to BCV and BWV due to their location. I need info from those who have stayed there.
1. Which has a better location to pools and restraunts?
2. Which has better views? From balconys.
3. Do they have full balconys?
4.Which has better location within the villas?
5. What makes your choice better over the other villas?
6. If you have pictures, can you post or PM them to me?

Thanks..
Amy

I'm not exactly sure what it is you are asking. I have stayed in the one bedrooms at BWV and a studio at BCV. They are pretty much the same at both. I compared the studio at BCV with the studios I have stayed in at BWV and think they are almost exactly alike. Yes, they have balconys...most one bedroom units will have a balcony off both the living area as well as the bedroom. But, I believe there are some, at least at BWV, that have no balcony off the bedroom.
Proximity to the pools and restaurants depends entirely on what unit you end up with. For the most part the villas, at both resorts, seem to be further away from things than the 'regular' rooms.
Are you looking for specific room numbers? If so, that's not the best idea. You most likely won't get a specific room number. You are better off requesting the type area you want to be in....close to the elevator, higher level, close to the pools...that type thing.
Sorry I couldn't be more help. BTW...I prefer BWV because that's where I own DVC...it's the most perfect place in the world in my opinion!

DH and I have stayed in a 1-bedroom at both resorts. So...to answer your questions:

1. IMO, BWV had better access to pools and restaurants. We were right at the quiet pool, and with all the restaurants in the Boardwalk - you can always find something to eat from pizza to a nice sit-down dinner.

2. BWV had better views - even their "standard view" was a nice view of the entrance. When we stayed at BCV, we overlooked the road (even though it faced Epcot, we had a MUCH better view of Epcot and the fireworks when we stayed at BWV in a boardwalk view room - and were right on the boardwalk which was fun).

3. Both rooms (BWV and BCV) had full balconies (one off the living room, and one off the bedroom).

4. Best location within the villas...well...at BWV, we had a VERY long walk from the lobby to our room. If I remember correctly, the walk was about the same at BCV, but it was more outside, getting to the villas part than down long hallways.

5. I would choose BWV. I think being right on the boardwalk is wonderful!! You can sit on your balcony and people-watch and see Illuminations each night. There are clubs, restaurants, and so much to do right on the Boardwalk. BCV offer a closer walk to Epcot, but BWV is not that much farther.

Here are some pictures....

We prefer BCV because it is quieter than BWV. I don't care for all the hustle and bustle of the Boardwalk. We love the pool view at BCV - at night, it's rather nice with the lights lit up around the building.

I have not stayed at BWV, but I choose not too. I have read so many posts about the Villas being very far away from the elevators. And if you look at the layout many of the units are actually closer to MGM, without the elevator access at that end of the building.
We love the BCV. We love being so close to WS in Epcot.
Storm Along Bay at the YC/BC/BCV is the best pool on Disney propery, in my opinion. It is wonderful for guests of all ages and worh staying there, on its own merits.
Each time we have stayed at the BCV we have had full balconies, some huge across the full Villa. I am sure that the view from the balconies at BWV is better. The views at BCV are not great. It is not sited on water, many rooms do overlook a roadway if you request an Epcot view. That said, I just looked beyond the roadway to France, Spaceship Earth, and the higher Illuminations fireworks.
You need to decide what is most important to you. In my mind it is proximity to Epcot versus view/
Hope this Helps.
Have Great Trip!

Not all the villas at BWV are far from the elevator. I had one a little over a year ago about 5 doors from the elevator. It was a 1 bedroom that looked out at the boat dock.

Are you booking through CRO or renting points from a member? At BWV, the boardwalk views are reserved for points reservations.

Thanks everyone for your advise. I am thinking the BWV will be our best bet. I am going to rent.
