We will be going to disney for 8 days in February, our 1st trip. Been reading so much on disboard (I think I would have been like a lost puppy if I hadn't discovered this site...thank you thank you)

My question is on our last day we will not do any parks, I would like to know what the best non park restaurant is, (or top choices) for 1 cr dinning plan, I will be with my 2 kids 4and 5 years old?

We really enjoy O'hana. It is a family-style Hawaiian restaurant at the Polynesian Resort. It is a very fun and relaxing atmosphere, with great food and they usually have a UKE lady play around the restaurant which the kids find a lot of fun.

If your kids like character dining, I would also suggest Chef Mickey's, buffet, at the Contemporary or Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort, also buffet. 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian is also a great character dining experience.

Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge is also a really enjoyable dining experience. It's a family-style BBQ type. We had a fantastic server when we were there and the food was wonderful.

Any resort restaurants or Boardwalk, Downtown Disney area restaurants are the best places to look (likely the only aside from parks!)

Hope this helps!

For breakfast I would pick Cape May at Beach Club. For lunch or dinner I would pick Sanaa at AKV.

for a 1 credit meal i'd say wolfgang pucks downstairs, ohana's (fun option w/kids), 1900 park fare is a cinderella character buffet. the characters are fun but the meal is so-so. whispering canyon is fun, relaxed, very kid friendly.

'Ohana, The Wave, and Sanaa would be my choices for dinner. If doing breakfast...Kona for a non-character meal and 1900 Park Fare if you want characters.

I like Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona Cafe, and Captain's Grill for dinner.

For breakfast, my favorite is Boma.

Our favorite non-park WDW restaurants are:

Ohana (our favorite meal in all of WDW)
Chef Mickey's
1900 Park Fare
Whispering Canyon
Kona
Boma
T-Rex
Rainforest Cafe
