Which week in the year would you consider the best offseason week to go to WDW.

I think the week after Labor Day week. Everyone would be starting their schedules for school.

September is terribly hot - terribly humid - and there's a good chance that it will rain EVERY SINGLE DAY - if not a steady all-day rain, then at least a few hours every day.. Not fun - we dealt with it for 2 weeks..:(

Our favorite time of year is October (not including Columbus day)We now go in the summer because the kids got too old to take out of school. October was still warm enough to use the water parks but not that terrible heat or crowds we get in the summer.

Hands down our absolute favorite time is 2nd or 3rd after New Years into that week! We love it.

My vote is for the week following Thanksgiving weekend. The parks are nearly empty and everything is decorated for the holidays.

You have MVMCP, the CP and the Osborne Family Lights. It's a magical time of year. We went in 2001. If I didn't have to worry about the kids missing school, we would go again during that time.

We have been annually for the past 7 years during the week after Thanksgiving. It is great, low crowds, decorations are beautiful and all the perks of the holidays. Weather is usually beautiful, we pick the forcasted warmest day and go to a blizzard beach.

Wow, I guess right after Thanksgiving or after Christmas is the best. I really thought September would be after Labor Day. I keep forgetting how hot Florida is.

In WI we can kiss summer goodbye after Labor and jump right into a usually cold fall with maybe a few exceptional days in fall. That is why you remember them.

My next trip to Disney will definately be off season.

I like to visit in Jan, right after NYE. No crowds and you can still see the decorations!

We LOVE the week after Labor Day... it wasn't too hot for us and we only had rain for a few minutes at a time. No crowds!!! We are going mid-December this year so I am hoping that's just as good.

First 2 weeks of December. For us MIers its not too cold and lots of days we could swim. The decorations are beautiful and the crowds are low. Our favorite time.

We went the week following labor day & the last week of Sept. & loved it. There is definitely a chance of rain every day. We didn't notice it being too hot for us. The rides were practically walk on. We had a great time that time of year. If it weren't for our DD in school, we would always go that time of year. We went in May a couple of yrs ago & found the weather & crowds unbearable.

We always go the first week of December each year and it isn't too bad as far as crowds go, but the best time we have come across was the middle of January...there was no one anywhere! LOL...we walked on each ride more than once and didn't have a line anywhere we went! It was great! :)

I personally recommend September, if the kids can be pulled out of school AND if you can deal with the heat. We went mid-September last year and the lines were practically nonexistent. It was WONDERFUL...didn't need to use FASTPASS at all. However, who is to say this year with the new package deal coming out?

Another big vote for September. We personally felt cheated when we'd go in late October and early November and we'd have to wear jackets at night. I guess to each his own. In my humble opinion, the heat in September was bareable and very "Florida-like." The rain is over-rated. We looked forward to the shower each day. It cooled things off, drove away the weenies, and within an hour produced a cooler, sunny day and usually a rainbow. There's nothing cooler than a rainbow over the castle! And the crowds....what crowds?

Given my choice, I'd go September every year.

One man's opinion,

Pat

I tolerate coolness better than heat and humidity, so we go to WDW anytime after Thanksgiving to the middle of February(excluding holidays and marathons). I'd rather wear a jacket, if needed and feel refreshed rather than suffering from the heat and humidity and feeling drained of energy.

OhMari, I see where you are from Wisconsin, which is further north, than my home in Indiana. What some people call cold, in
Florida, I found to be jacket or sweatshirt weather. I think how well you handle heat and humidity can determine your dates to visit WDW. If H & H is not to your liking, then I would go to WDW during the late Nov. to early March time period.

Have a nice trip.

We visited WDW near the end of September and found that it was much hotter and more humid than mid-October. So much so that my DH (who hates the humidity) vowed that we'd never visit in September again. We also visited the last two weeks of January, and loved that all of the rides were walk-ons, but hated the fact that only one day was warm enough for swimming (just barely - near 80 with brisk winds). We've also been to WDW in February and May. Overall, considering crowds, weather, etc. our favorite is October and we have a trip planned for 10/11-10/24. There may be an increase in crowds because of the FTP, but we'll take our chances. Just my $.02!!! Have fun planning your trip.

Anyone have any comments for November? My son, wife, and I went last year for the first week of December. We got AP's and they expire of Nov 29th. We are thinking about the first week in November for this trip. How are the crowds, weather, etc...
