Best off-site pool

Thinking of an extra trip in August and know that it is very hot in FL in August so I was hoping someone could advise what the best off-site pool would be. We've only stayed onsite before.

Pools at Orange Lake, Marriott's Grande Vista, and Vistana Villages are beautiful. So is the Caribe Royale...wasn't thrilled with our room though.

I've also heard Marriott's Horizons has a great pool with pirate ship and water cannons which I would imagine kids would love. If you check VacationClub.com, you can find out the rate to rent at this timeshare resort. You don't have to do a tour or anything when you book that way.

If you have children, then Horizons by Marriott has the best pool. We stayed at Horizons the first week of December with our four children ages 11, 10, 7, and 6. We absolutely loved everything about Horizons!! The pool is zero entry on one end with a pirate ship with slides, water guns, and spray. The pool wraps around and the other side is a more adult pool with deep end. There is also a small water park with dumping bucket, water guns, and sprays, etc. Best of all, there are free (or minimal fee for several) activities for both children and adults. We had a blast and will never stay onsite again!!!

In addition to the above comments, I'd add that the Marriott Orlando World Center (convention hotel) has beautiful pools, including a waterfall and slide. There are timeshare condos on shared grounds with quiet pools and access to the main hotel amenities (Sabal Palms, Royal Palms and Imperial Palms).

The new Fairfield Orlando at Bonnet Creek will have a nice pool area including play fountains for the kids and a floating river as well as a regular freeform swimming pool. This timeshare resort is scheduled to open in June.
