I am very familiar with all Disney restaurants, but my kids love buffets (and even other AYCTE places since buffets are limited with the pandemic). We enjoyed our first Brazilian steakhouse recently, (unless you count O'hana since it seemed a similar setup to that).

So, what off-property AYCTE restaurants are the best?

We tried Mia's Italian Kitchen which has a AYCTE brunch in weekends & AYCTE dinners. We've only tried the brunch but it's A LOT of carbs, delicious carbs, but filling. Great cheesy garlic bread & pizza. I'm pretty sure we lost money on the deal so the dinner would be too much for us. It's family style so you order from their menu & they do have ala carte options, but all persons need to be eating ala carte or all eating AYCTE, you couldn't do half/half. We heard about them thru Chip & Co.

We just did the U & Me Hotpot near Disney Springs. A robot brings you to your table. You can choose a broth and then pick ingredients to cook in the broth from a conveyer belt that runs around the restaurant.

We love this place and have eaten there 3 times this year on each of our trips.

Ichiban Buffet. Very good mix of Asian food and a good section of sushi. They usually have coupons on their website. This is a must-do for us whenever we have a car.

Edited: Recent reviews during Covid are not good at all. I think we may be skipping it next month and finding something else until this buffet is back to normal. It used to be so good!

If money is no object, Fogo de Chao is a great Brazilian steakhouse. Had a great lunch there a few days ago.

Golden Corrals near Disney can vary considerably.

We like Boston Lobster Feast. Awesome buffet. There's one on International Drive and another closer to Disney in Kissimme. Used to be $65 for adults. They have a website.
There's also a place called Freddie's Market. They used to have a giant buffet with all home cooked food. They might be family style for now. Unfortunately it's about an hour drive from Disney, in Lakeland. Again, the food is excellent!

I had never heard of this place but it is definitely on the list for our next trip to Orlando!
