Hi

We are just back from our first trip, stayed in Hotel New York, was great, will post a trip thread.

Want to plan for another trip but Hotel New York out our price range as is Newport Bay. Which out of Sequoia, Santa Fe and Cheyenne is the best? It will be me, my best friend and wee boy (3) (husband no holidays left) at end November.

Thanks for any advice.

Wendy

I would go for the SL, it's a lovely hotel and fab at christmas! :santa:
We will be checking in there for 4 nights from November 22nd! :cool1:

I would go for SL as well. Although Cheyenne has really fun theming and bunk beds rather than 2 doubles

I think you should try Cheyenne, it's a firm favourite of many. To be totally honest it's not upto the standard you had at HNY, but you wouldn't expect it to be, but the theming of the hotel is just the best.
Biggest differences
Hotel is much busier with lots more kids than at HNY
Rooms situated away from reception, bar etc.
Lack of pool
Queen and bunk beds in the room
At breakfast
No hot items
No flavoured yoghurt at breakfast,
Tinned fruit cocktail not fresh
No fresh fruit
You find your own table and help yourself to cutlery.
Much busier than the HNY at breakfast and you have to choose a breakfast slot
Walk to the park
Actually it's not that much further than HNY you just carry on past HNY over the bridge, add an extra 5/10 mins longer if the little one is walking too.
Shuttle buses are frequent but do get really busy at park open and closing times.

I'm not a fan of SL, personal experiences, but have to admit the breakfast experience is much nicer, although that has reminded me too that Cheyenne or SL you can request the Good Morning Fantasyland Breakfast ( same standard as SL, so bit of an upgrade on Cheyenne's breakfast)

Hope that helps.:)

Thanks for all the advice.

Jill that was a great list of differences, helps put in perspective what you get for the extra money

We've stayed in Cheyenne and SL and much prefer the Cheyenne. As someone who is going back to DLP for the first time with a 2 year in 10 days, the Cheyenne, thanks to the theming, was always our number 1 choice.

Another vote for the Cheyenne. Book it and you can spend the money you saved on a special meal or Buffalo Bills Wild West Show!
