I'm looking for suggestions for yummy non-alcoholic drinks to watch for. I was really looking forward to sampling some adult beverages while on our trip, but finding myself now pregnant, I've had to adjust my priorities a little! :goodvibes I'm craving all kinds of frozen and slushy things (non-dairy only -- no milkshakes or yogurt smoothies for me). Fruity is great. Any suggestions for drinks in the parks or DTD?

If you can drink soda, check out Club Cool at Epcot Center. You'll be able to sample several different Coke products (free!)from around the world. My personal favorite is the watermelon soda from China...yummmm!

China has the Joy of Tea and they have great non alcoholic tea slushies, so good!

We just returned from our first trip to WDW and I personally found it to be too hot to want much in the way of alcholic drinks. I can tell you that there are PLENTY of delicious and refreshing non-alcoholic options to choose from. Here's a few of my personal favorites.

  • Conga Juice at Cantina de San Angel in Epcot. This is a mix of orange, pineapple and lime juices with a little bit of grenadine as well. The write-up on the menu makes it sound like it's just juice but it's actually a frozen drink so it's nice and slushy and fruity. It's not too sweet, as the little bit of lime juice gives it a bit of a tang. This was my favorite non-alcoholic drink of the entire trip. I've even taken to making it at home. Highly recommended.
  • Mango Green Tea Slush from the Joy of Tea Stand in Japan at Epcot. This stand also has alcoholic tea slushes, but the mango one (and the strawberry one, which I didn't try) are non-alcoholic. This was like a slushy version of iced tea. Very good, but I found it to be a little sweet from the mango flavoring. This stand also has non-slushy flavored iced tea as well.
  • Fruit Tea Freeze from the Royal Anandapur Tea Company in AK (this is located right across from the Yak & Yeti counter service). They had two flavours, wildberry and coconut-pineapple. I had the second one and it tasted like a pina colada, virigin of course, with a little bit of white tea in it. It was slushy, just the right amount of sweet and SO refreshing. Plus, it was large and lasted quite a while.
  • Dole Whip Float from Aloha Aisle in Adventureland in MK. I suppose that this isn't really a beverage, technically, but it's just too good to pass up. I'd never had the float before, just the dole whip, but I am now a convert! It's a great way to cool off in the heat. I had it with the pineapple soft serve, but I'd imagine that it would be good with vanilla as well.
  • Orange Pineapple Smoothie from KRNR Station, just outside the Rockin'n'Roller Coaster at HS. I know you said non-dairy, but I wasn't sure if that was a necessity or just a pregnancy preference, so I thought I'd throw a smoothie in here just in case. This was delicious. It was very smooth and all you could taste was the fruit, not the yogurt. There are many flavours to choose from. Again, this was just so refreshing.

Hope this helps a little bit and gives you a few options to choose from. Have a fantastic trip and congrats on the upcoming addition to your family! :)

Try a Peanut Butter & Jelly milkshake at the 50's Primetime Cafe at DHS. It's yummy.

Thanks so much, Miss Mouse! The Conga Juice sounds excellent -- fruity and tropical are definitely my thing. And the tea slushies sound intriguing! Are Dole Whips non-dairy? I'm assuming since you mentioned soft-serve that they're not. Unfortunately dairy-free is not just a preference, it's a necessity for me, so I'll be careful to ask. Thanks again for the suggestions!

Ok, so after re-reading what Miss Mouse said -- to clarify, it's that the Dole Whip itself is dairy-free but the Dole Whip Float has soft-serve..? That makes sense!

All Dole Whip is dairy free. A Dole Whip float is simply Dole Whip and Pineapple Juice, no dairy whatsoever.

Dole Whip is served out of Soft Serve machines, but made with powdered mix and water instead of a liquid base.

Here's the ingredient list:

Sugar, Dextrose, Pineapple Juice Concentrate, Stabilizers (Cellulose, Locust Bean, Xanthan, Carrageenan and Karaya Gums, Pectin), Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Silicon Dioxide (anticaking), Corn Syrup Solids, Citric Acid, Sodium Caseinate (a milk derivative), Mono & Diglycerides, Artificial Flavor, Sodium Citrate, Salt, Potassium Phosphate, Yellow 5 & 6

I'm hoping that Milk derivative isn't what qualifies as dairy to you.

Gotcha -- thanks so much for clarifying!

Sorry for the Dole Whip confusion, julirina. I should have clarified in my post that they're non-dairy.

Non-dairy and DELICIOUS. ;)
