My family is so desperately missing WDW, we booked a quick stay at SSR with our DVC points (resale, no direct buy perks). We are going to do a monorail eating tour around Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Contemporary. We don’t have park tickets for the 4th, but we’d like to watch the fireworks from one of these resorts. We’ve never done anything like this before. Can you all
Share recommendations for best place to view from?? Also, we’re sticking with quick service options- any food tips?! Thanks so much!

The Polynesian has the best viewing, however the beach isn’t open for public viewing on the 4th. Someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe it is open on the 3rd and they are running the same fireworks both nights, if you’re there then.
For QS we really liked Captain Cook’s at the Poly.

That’s super helpful to know! Thanks!

It really depends on what kind of view you want. The view from GF is nice, but not my favorite. It’s far off and to the side. You could watch from the boat dock or the patio by Gasparilla Grill/the marina. Poly is very straight on, but far away and probably the most popular/crowded. The view from the CR is my favorite, and you’d be able to watch from any of the observation decks. You can also eat or grab a drink at CA Grill anytime during the night and return later to watch the fireworks if you have a receipt. Some people don’t like this view because you do get a lot of the lights and parking lot, but personally I think once the show starts that’s not so noticeable. I do think your best bet if you’re not staying at one of these resorts is to watch the show on July 3rd. Access on the 4th will be restricted and that night will be very crowded. For a quick service at any of these resorts my vote would go to Captain Cook’s at Poly. Have fun!

I’m so relieved we can see the fireworks on the 3rd. That’s going to be our plan.

We also really want to see the Electric Water Pageant- we’ve never seen it before. Maybe that will be a better option on the 4th! I saw in the times guide that there are estimated viewing times per location. Anyone have recommendations for places they’ve had a great vantage point??

One year we booked the Contemporary for one night just to see the 4th fireworks then spent the rest of our vacation at the Wilderness Lodge. The few from the North End was Amazing.
Our last trip a couple of years ago during the fall we had a better than decent view of the MNSSHP fireworks from a 4th floor Standard View room at the WL.
