I am trying to pick the best moderate for my family.. We are three adults- my husband, myself, my mother, and two kids.. They will be four and almost a year when we go...

I at first kind of wanted to go with Beach Resort and then I saw where the Port Orleans Riverside has a trundle bed..:)

What are your thoughts? I need to book in the next few days.

They are both great resorts. POR will be newly renovated when you are there and will have queen beds. Right now CB only has double but I imagine that will change in the near future. We love POR and usually stay there when we are going to Disney. We are a family of 5 and my kids love the trundle bed.

Yes, I am thinking that too about the trundle for my 4 year old.. Do you know when it will get renovated/ Queen beds would be great.
The pool at Beach looks better but I guess who cares? We never really swim anyways.. ;)

Any other thoughts??

Everything at POR is supposed to be done by Aug. CB does have a great pirate themed pool play area. POR has a great pool too plus you can also use the pool at POFQ. We have only stayed at CB once for a few nights during a split stay so I am not as familiar with it as I am POR. They are both large resort but I think the bus system is better at POR. You can also take a boat to DTD from POR, my kids love the boat ride. I think it all comes down to personal opinion, we love the theme at POR but I am sure someone else will feel that CB is better. I would check out some pictures on line of both resorts on the resorts board. There are even some pictures of the newly renovated rooms at POR.

We stayed at Coronado Springs and loved it! It was only myself, DH, and DD (3). They had 2 queen beds which made it nice. The food court had a great variety, the pool was very pretty, and the grounds were beautiful. I would defintely stay there again.

We love CSR. Queen beds make it a nice choice. The rooms are not really too large so if you would need a pack and play for the baby, it might be too crowded but no more so than any mod that has queen beds. The pool and restaurants are very family friendly especially if you are on the DDP.

We stayed at CBR the very first time in a pirate room, and the kids loved it. We were a little ways from the pool/food court though, but they were very nice. I haven't stayed at PO, but will be in Dec and VERY excited to try a Royal room in Riverside :woohoo:

Can't speak for the others, as we've only been to CBR, but CBR does have the largest rooms, so that might help with 5 people. Definitely plenty of room for a PNP for baby. The new playground is awesome for young ones and the pool is great too. Plus, I just love the colors and theme, very relaxing!

We have stayed at CBR twice and loved it. We are staying there again in November because my Dad liked it so much too :) We are a family of 5 so one of these trips when my parents don't go with us we will be trying out POR.

There are two resorts at WDW that have the word 'Beach' in them, so on the Dis, Caribbean Beach Resort (which you are referring to, since it is a mod) is called CBR, and the Beach Club (which has an amazing pool) is called BC, so people don't get confused. Hope this helps?

Coronado Springs is our favorite Mod. We love the theming and the pool is awesome. When we used one, we put the pack-n-play under the clothes rack in the lavatory area and that area now closes off with sliding wooden doors - it would help give the baby a quiet, dark place to sleep.

I've only stayed at one moderate, CSR but I absolutely LOVED it!:thumbsup2 The time we stayed there my DD was 4 and DS was 1. Even thought we have been at several different resorts since then, my kids still rate the pool and the slide as one of their favorites. The theme isn't in your face Disney style however, I really liked the theming and thought the grounds were beautiful.

Hope that helps, I'm sure wherever you stay you will have a magical trip pixiedust:

We did that too! I thought it was the perfect cozy spot for our little man to sleep.
